Thank you for the review! I really appreciate all you do to keep us informed about all things Disney and the diverse group of characters that you add to your reviews. Well done!
Did Pete complain about the steak and get comped? First night or not, for the prices they are charging, everything should be properly cooked and it shouldn't take over an hour to get your entrees.
Thanks for checking this place out! We'll have to decide for our next trip... stick with what we know we love: the Boathouse or check out Paddlefish... I think my kids would vote for Paddlefish. They would like the idea of the restaurant in a large boat. ;-)
My wife and I are planning a trip to Orlando this coming February and wanted to ask you guys for another review on the Paddlefish. If a full review isn't part of your plans than maybe a quick comment on more recent dining experiences here. Thanks so much! So glad we found your channel.... Love it!
The food looked very good, but you could see the steak did look a little dry. Hopefully the cooks could speed it up. The atmosphere looks great as well so it looks like its overall a great place. Thank you for sharing! Will have to try!
Sounds like a BIG step up from Fulton's! I'm a Chicagoan and no stranger to Levy Group restaurants. I know what they are capable of, but Fultons failed on EVERY level. I like the modern makeover and look forward to giving it a shot next time I'm at WDW!
Pete - you've been to my place...I can't imagine charging $19 for a burger...HA! I can appreciate the inflation of costs at Disney...but the food cost on an 8 ounce burger is like $2 - $3 depending on toppings. Their food cost is 16%...WOW. I need to open in Disney Springs, I'd be RICH! Thanks for the info...other than the steak it did look good.
Over over over priced food. Frozen chips (sorry fries) and $20 for glass of red wine, I know dollar to the pound sterling rate is rubbish at the moment but 16 quid for a glass of wine, never in a million years. I know it's Disney ...... but take me to southern Spain where seafood has just come out of the ocean for a few euros. Still love Disney though x
Charles, you've been working out? Nice review. I think I'll give it a couple of months until they get the kitchen rhythm down. And that steak, yes, you can tell it was extremely overcooked! : -/
The food may be good, but seems really overpriced. Like those fries, i can go to Steack and Shake and have fresh, hand cut fries for about 4$. Plus the fact that they don't take dining plan just make this place uninteresting. I'd rather have the Ciolumbia Harbour House's lobster roll for half the price of the one that they sell here : it probably won't be as good, but i'll probably feel less ripped off. Thanks for all the videos you make, though, they always are a real pleasure to watch and i love how communicative your passion is !
Uuuuuugh. On our family's most recent visit (October 2015), Fulton's was one of only *two* really good meals we enjoyed (the other being in the pub in England in EPCOT). The rest of our dining experiences around the four parks and Downtown Disney/Disney Springs were meh-to-awful. I am *very* distressed to see that they changed their format to something that has virtually NO seafood that isn't gimmicky or fried. Watching what your family members ordered (beef, chicken, pork, etc.) I assume it has gone to a steakhouse format. As vegetarians who occasionally eat fish, we already struggle at Disney parks to find meatless options other than pasta, pineapple spears, salads (often served with a hunk of meat on them), dill pickles, popcorn, and hummus-and-pretzels. And now we've lost Fulton's/Paddlefish as an option. Bummer. We're from So Cal and we forget that meat is still alive and well in most of the USA. Alas, we will not be back to Paddlefish. Thanks for the video! We enjoy your channel very much!
i wouldnt pay that kind of money for fine dining and then get a late dry meal. surprised you cut the place a little slack. if it was a quick service venue i dont think you would have been more forgiving.
We go to restaurants of all types all of the time. But these prices are ridiculous., no matter how "signature" they are or the portion sizes. Opening night or not, for those prices, the food should've been beyond perfect with minimal wait time and swedish massages between courses. Plus it sounded extremely loud. Did enjoy the review, but will by no means be going here.
way too expensive. those prices are rediculous. between Paddlefish and Planet Hollywood, two new recent restaurant openings that prove to me I would not visit either one.
For me it's different. I have tinnitus and noises start to blend together. In just watching this video I could barely understand the host of the show sometimes. When by myself it's not so bad. But I have a hard time understanding a person in front of me in a noisy room. I now get triggered by noisy rooms the way some people get triggered by crowds.
So when he said that it was the best octopus and the best calamari he has ever had, you read that as unhappy? Not sure what you were watching, but I don't think he was unhappy about anything he reviewed.
Yet another good review. I think Charles is bringing a new perspective to these reviews. Love it! The Dis is keeping it fresh. Thanks as always guys!
Charles grows on me more and more with each video!!! Keep up the good work guys!!!

One of the things I really respect about Pete is his ability to keep it real. I can always count on him for his honest reviews.
Charles continues to improve. Good job.
thank you for a very honest review Pete and Charles X UK
Glad to see Charles back for another review!
Is he related to Pete?
djshortsleeve no, I think he's a friend
I think people judge Charles too harsly, he just has a resting strain face thats all. But he is gorgeous in my opinion.
Good honest review; can't wait to try it out! 👍

I've seen Charles in a couple vids now, what's his story? A new member of the DIS team?
I think you guys should do another review a month from now
Also it seems insanely loud in there
Charles is kool
thanks for the review
the fried tomatoes looked amazzzzinnngg.
The octopus looked very good. We really need to hear from Pete's mom
is that the only shirt Charles owns?
what did your bill come to?

Charles, be more happy in future vlogs!

$15 for a side of mac and cheese?? That is crazy
The Meatless Mouse I was thinking the exact same thing.
Yeah, I think $5 is outrageous. For $15, it should be like 3 pounds of it.
3 pounds is about $5. So that would work. (Little British joke for you there!)

Please do more dinning reviews with Kevin
Charles and coffee. Sheesh

That's not actually as expensive as I'd imagined. Shame the exchange rate is so awful for us Brits though :)

Wow..couldn't help but take note of how loud it was in there. That is a turnoff for me. At times I could barely hear your review.

That food seems wildly overpriced.
its hard to screw up a filet steak, but yes you can.. Everything else looked fabulous .. The acoustics in their sounds horrendous !!!!!

That filet looks like it was cooked to death. And $15 for a side of mac and cheese is absurd.
That steak looks dry as a bone
Although it was nice to get immediate feedback, the ambient noise of the restaurant rather spoiled the video.
If it comes across in the video, its probably very relevant to the review though, no?
Peter Richardson how did you order your steak?
way too expensive. those prices are rediculous. between Paddlefish and Planet Hollywood, two new recent restaurant openings that prove to me I would not visit either one.
That background chatter is awful. I would rather eat elsewhere if it's that noisy inside. I know it's Disney but that's not a character dinner.
That was loud? I couldn't care less how noisy a restaurant is as long as the food is good.

my husband also
Charles hurts to watch
Sounds like a very overpriced restaurant.
get rid of Charles he is boring and not happy about anything. I am not a fan anymore.
Susan Perkins that's not rude at all
So when he said that it was the best octopus and the best calamari he has ever had, you read that as unhappy? Not sure what you were watching, but I don't think he was unhappy about anything he reviewed.
Susan Perkins not to mention, he wears the same shirt every video 😂
Who is he even
What a ridiculous comment.
