    Thank you Mark. Very helpful video as I am looking to purchase Tado vs competitors and the more of these I watch, the more informed I feel.

    Hi, great video - question, do the Meross TRV’s need be to in direct range of the hub controller? I’m thinking/hoping that as long as the TRV’s are on the same WiFi network as the HUB then that is ok. I know many setups require TRV’s to be in direct contact with the HUB. My house is large with extremely thick walls. However with lots of Access Points I have a great WiFi mesh coverage.
    Look forward to your reply.

      I think they just need to be in contact with their hub and the cloud does the rest

    Used your link and went for the Tado Wireless Starter Kit V3+…. I have no electrical experience so I’m hoping I just replace to old thermostat and it works. Do you need to mess about with the actual boiler?
    Also thanks for saving me a tenner 👌🏼

      Thanks for using the link,
      When you receive it and come to install it the TADO app will talk you through personalised setup for your setup. If you don’t feel confident installing it based on the steps in the app it shouldn’t take a has engineer more than an hour

      I should be ok with swapping the existing wall thermostat. As long as I don’t have to touch the boiler.

      The only thing you might have to switch depending on the setup is any transmitter coming from your boiler but that wouldn’t involve opening the boiler so you should be fine

    Do you have a link to the back box you bought from screw fix for the meross? I want to make sure I get the right size!

    Hi. Thanks for the review. Can you confirm? If a tado radiator thermostat calls for heat say in one bedroom, does that override the main house thermostat and switch on the heating. Heating only that particular bedroom and not the whole house, if the other rooms radiator thermostats aren’t calling????
    Thanks in advance.

      Hey, The Tado is capable of doing that because of open therm. It will however head every radiator that doesn't have a Tado valve as well as the one in the room that has triggered it (if that makes sense). It's because the Tado valves control the hot water going into the radiators whereas the overall heating control sends hot water round the system. Hope that helps

      @@MarksTechVlogs thanks for the help. So does this feature require the use of open therm for it to work then?

    • @MarksTechVlogs
      @MarksTechVlogs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielday4725 Yes but I'm fairly sure this is enabled on the Tado Thermostat by default (if not you can enable it yourself) so mine works fine 🙂

      @@MarksTechVlogs I’m not sure my boiler has opentherm capabilities I’m afraid.
