I comparison shopped, learning and losing other drones for months. I fly in the city.
This is it! Does what I need and want. Resolution is excellent. Stop nit-picking. For about 200 dollars, this is it! You'll never remake Gone With the Wind. Get real.

The Potensic SE doesn't crash. Controller is perfect for me. I'll get a 3 axis model soon.
Get the Atom Potensic instead. The 3 axis gimbal makes a difference

Oh DJI mini 2 SE beats any drone in its price range..
I bought a Mini 2 SE and it was crap. It never got off the ground as the drone wouldn't connect to the controller.
DJI tried to help, to their credit, but it was days in between emails. Apparently they're busy.
If the thing won't connect when brand new with all firmware updated the day I got it, what would happen when I drove an hour or two to take some footage and nothing happens? That's a waste of time and money, two things I never have too much of.

The Potensic atom's video is shaking like crazy, you can't get a drone with 300USD without decent 3-axis gimbals.
For me it is perfect, i don’t shoot video only take pics. And the image quality for this purpose is very good.
They just brought the 3 axis one out...

Looks very good for the price. The 4K footage is very impressive. The Fimi X8 V2 sells for about the same price, though, with 5km range, 4K30 and similar flight times on a battery.

I think he means the x8 mini v2. More or less the same price when you use cupons, 260USD around.
The FIMI X8 Mini V2 is $450 on Amazon. Not really the same price point.
When are they going to add AEB, auto exposure bracketing to their firmware update? This is a game changer when you're taking still photography.
Because Potensic updates its firmware all the time, you can drag the altitude limit to far above 400 feet now. That’s no longer an issue

The Dji mini 3 SE can be bought for the same price or $50 more for the combo package. Although Amazon do offer peace of mind when buying , the drones they sell tend to be priced above many other outlets.
I don’t think there is a Mini 3 SE… just Mini 2 SE and Mini SE

I think your information is clear, thank you. In your opinion is this a good start for a 18 year old? I am considering this for my son's birthday. Also is the SD card a micro? I know very little about these things.

You need an SD card in the drone. You can download the footage from the drone to the phone through the app

Yeah, it’s priced really well; mostly today with that lighting deal discount. Around $204
Was about to get it but based on its sample footage, it has a horrible purple tint / purple fringing on the image
3 questions.
1- how to unlock the flying range the way you did? Mine doesn’t fly that far.
2- how to switch the footage from landscape to portrait?
3- how to record videos straight on the app and not in the SD card?
In the app there is a option how far it can go. You have to turn the beginner mode off.
You cannot record in portrait mode with this one.
You can’t record the videos directly in the app. You can download them from the sd card through the app from the drone
Or try recording Your mobile screen
Hi if you want to transfer videos and pictures from the drone to a laptop or pc do you have to remove the micro SD card and insert it into the pc or can you plug the drone into the laptop like say a dji mini

Take your hands off the controller and it will stay in the same spot. It may move a bit depending how windy it is

Well, no, you don't need data on your phone to fly this
If your thinking of buying the potensic drone. Then think long and hard, especially in the UK, I know by experience. If you have a product fault, then 95 % you won't get any after sales service support, from them. They will contact you, and fall over themselves to help you, as long as it doesn't cost potensic any money. Even if you have a real genuine product fault, it always go back to you having to pay for any parts you need. I have a six month old potensic battery, that's hardly been used, won't hold a charge, been told I need to buy a new battery, from potensic, although they offered a small discount off a new battery.

Can the controller of the Atom SE be used with the Atom when I upgrade ?
this was very helpful, my goal was to record me playing with my dogs, but since the follow me option only tracks the controller i cant set it down while im playing. Thats not gonna work, thanks for saving me from buying this.
The new Potensic Atom (video on the channel) tracks the subject that you select and it also has better video quality

@@RedskullPro I would prefer it with EIS only so you can carry it in your pocket without damaging the gimbal. Unfortunately the follow-me is programmed wrong. Drone manufacturers ( and reviewers) don't have a clue how it should work. Shame because if the feature was done right it would be a really nice hiker/biker drone.
It is equally good for taking movies and still shots for just walking around..you can make a simple mono pole attachement by gluing a nut to the bttom of your drone storage strap..attching the dfone onto your mono pole when you really cant fly it..

Does the Pontensic atom se come with an SD card? If not, what size SD card is required?
It doesn’t come with an sd card. You can get any class 10 sd card up to 256GB. I personally use a 64gb card
On Amazon i found a drone name goolsky drone and it had 8k camera 5000m range and with GPS and it costs only 200 dollars should i buy it or its a scam please someone tell me help please 🙏🙏🙏🙏😭
8k will defiantly be interpolated 2k footage. the 5000m range will be about 1km in reality :)
How can you say $500 for a drone without a gimble not to mention my quadcopter 210 would leave it for dead. You claim it can fly up to 8km whe the manual states it will fly up to 4km thanks
You know this was $199 at the time of this video right… and I never said 8km. I said maybe 2. Also there has been a new model released today that has a gimbal

@@RedskullPro Hi Alex. I have now tested my drone and i must say I'm very disappointed. First of all the drone is losing GPS satellites in mid air that resulted in a crash and damaged the propellers. I contacted potensic and provided my flight log they analyzed. They confirm that all sudden the signal is lost and the drone starts to circle around very fast in the air uncontrolled which can result in crash if you flying low and near building. They cant say why my drone is loosing GPS satellites and they offer me a new drone with 1 battery (since i bought the combo kit that includes 2 batteries) and 30 euro for shipping. BUT when i bought it the shipping was 10 euro, so they don't seem very helpful when charging me 3 times the shipping fee from beginning. its not my fault the drone is broken . Also i don't think its real 4K camera since the quality is very low. i would say 720P max on low heights and 480 when you are but up in the air. Before buying atom i was planing on buying DJI mini2 and now i regret i didn't go with that instead since this problem with atom. be careful with your drones. When it lose connection to satallites it can get really ugly! I also did they calibration before every flight and it still losing GPS so i just want to give heads up to everyone.
