Like, they went to a store and saw a shirt and they said, "Oh, Rick and Morty! I like that show! That's pretty funny." So they bought the shirt, and they fuckin' wear the shirt, and they out there living their damn lives. They're not enslaved by the same chains that those of us who have chosen - whether willfully or via inertia - to keep your finger on the pulse of how the entire world feels about every single media property, every single person involved in the media property, the political opinions of absolutely everybody on the writing staff... "One of the voice actors committed a crime in Galway in 1979, so I'm never watching Big City Greens ever again." Like, they're just out there buying shirts and living their lives man! That could be us! But for some reason, I resist. I say, "It would be so easy for that to become me," and instead I'm like, "No, I don't want, it I don't want it!" I repel- I riposte- I back away from the medicine, I say, "I don't need this!"

“Nothing is apolitical” is a great way to drive your talking points right into the ground. Sometimes people want to relax and not be lectured. There is a time for both. I’m with NL on that one.
Also like, "everything" having some political dimension to it doesn't mean one should always discuss things in political terms. Everything is made of atoms but if i asked someone to pass me the NaCl at the table they'd think im a weird dork
Okay im sorry but NL shits on subway so much and every time im like "yeah but the meatball marinara is goated" and its sad they know its their only good sandwhich so they make it the most expensive thing on the menu. I LOVE the subway meatball marinara with some spicy chilli sauce and lettuce that shits the bomb after a hard day at work

it's not that he's against it as a game in general, he just doesn't want to stream it. It takes forever in terms of episodic streaming, people get bored and tune out, etc. Once the release hype dies down, it'd be terrible numbers for streaming. He also likes to banter, and BG3 is pretty story driven.
