I remember playing the heck out of these games on cool math games at school in third grade.
What’d you say is Papa’s worst crime?
1:22 Real, any order that wasn’t aesthetically pleasing I’d sometimes screw up just because why would you eat that.
Good analysis on everyone’s favorite capitalism simulator. I do wanna note my personal theory - In Papa Louie: When Pizzas Attack! Papa used to just be a genuinely nice guy running a pretty okay pizza joint that offered free pizza that day, so I like to imagine being recognized as an international hero and a great chef probably went to his head.
Also, some of the workers in the Papa’s Games were pretty well off anyways before getting screwed over by Papa’s scheme of the week (James from Cupcakeria is a plumber, Carlo Romano from Scooperia is part of a famous musician group, Matt and Tony are game devs in and out of universe, and the player character in Bakeria literally gets their own store at the end) and a lot of characters (like Cooper, Mandi, and Penny) are pretty well respected for their work. There’s definitely characters who don’t enjoy their jobs and they still have to work even after they get their happy ending, but it’s definitely interesting to think about why they’re so complicit. Is it fear? Manipulation? They don’t get paid regardless.
Some characters only ever work during certain holidays according to their flipdeck, although with the holiday system in later games I imagine that got retconned. Eternal suffering! ;-;
I definitely feel for some of the characters who are literally teenagers though (Wylan B and Penny are especially sad cases, the only reason Penny enjoys working at the Freezeria is because she thought Alberto was hot lol)
I literally love this. And you make a good point, though, I do like my theory better since a villain Papa Louie makes for a more interesting thematic viewing experience. Of course, the idea that he's a genuinely nice guy opens a few more plot holes that make for an even more interesting plot.
And thanks for watching! I always like these long comments cause it means that you guys not only watched the video but really enjoyed it! Or it vibed with you enough that you wanted to comment on it.
@@two.firstnames Definitely think he’s using his status as a beloved hero to manipulate certain people, I know Cooper in particular is a Papa Louie fanboy (which is very weird to think about) and his little brother Greg is actually a big fan of tomatoes as a response to trauma from being sent to an alternate dimension on three different occasions
Yeah, I got back into the games recently so naturally this video was recommended to me and I had to pour my insight on it.
Well, I loved your insight! Again, thanks for watching!
(and u might as well check out my other videos if u liked this one)
What if Papa Louie was actually charged for his crimes?
How does this video not have more views?
your guess is as good as mine 🤷♀️
