IF I get the PTRX7300 can I listen to the audio direct from the SDR software or do I have to listen to the audio from the radio as normal ?

You can use the SDR as an independent RX so the audio from the SDR can be used - so yes.

@@MarkG0MGX Excellent, thanks. I find the 7300 NR not so good, certainly nothing like the FT-891 I use for portable but if I can use the Airspy HF+ that's great because it's NR is way better.
