    Are you using multiple planners?

I am using multiply planners/notebooks. My main planner is a weekly horizontal, in which I make my plans for the day and do a bit of journaling about what happens. I keep running out of room, so for 2021 I ordered the EC large monthly planner, with extra notes pages. I also am using the EC Vision Journal. I'm using it as a memory keeper, and am using art, stickers and washi. It's great fun. I just finished my books pages. Enjoyed your video a lot. Thanks!

So love how you broke this down and I love the phrase “extension of your brain!” So nice!

For me, that phrase changed how I planned, and looked at planning!

I use an EC vertical for personal, EC teacher planner for work, and an EC wellness log. I’m looking for something new for wellness. Your hair!! Amazing, I need to know what you use!

Let me know if you find something for wellness! I use only Ouidad products in my hair. 😜

I currently use one planner for my budget planner, one planner for my work planner, and one daily cat all planner that is my master planner.

I think having a master planner is so important! 😊

Same here. 1 for finances, 1 for work, and a catch all. Don’t know how I made it through 2019 with one planner, LOL.

I am using the EC daily duo this year! So far I have been really loving it. I was using the Passion Planner hourly last year and I just couldn't get use to it and I missed the EC so I am glad that I went back especially now that they brought back the half hours. I always say that I am going to use different planners for different things but my brain just likes having everything in one area. :)

The daily duo is an awesome daily planner! 😀

I’m a full-time grad student and I work in HR (which means that I’m working more now due to the current climate!!)
I’m like you, I don’t like duplicating stuff into multiple planners, unless it impacts that area of my life.
I’m using a Bloom Daily Planners neutral, undated that I just dated with stickers from the Happy Planner, and it works perfectly for work for me. I track my to-dos for work and my schedule, including hours and overtime, on the weekly pages. I use the monthly section for tracking our payroll processing and deadlines as well as work events.
For grad school, I got some inserts from Lights Planner Action and stuck them into an A5 ringbound from Michaels. That’s got mostly school and personal life stuff in it.
Birthdays and travel go on my dollar store wall calendar 🤣

Love this idea! I've been using the Passion Planner b/c I love time blocking. But I wanted something more focused so I'm trying the Savor Life 90-day planner for more writing space too.

I'm using 5 planners, all are Erin Condren.
My main planner is the vertical. I use stickers but no kits.
Second planner is the folio system, use stickers in it but no kits. I have the petite, menu, budget, and a notebook. The folio is what I take if I go some where.
Wanted to try weekly sticker kits so I'm using the daily duo for it as my 3rd planner.
4th planner is just a lined notebook and I'm using it for a fitness tracker.
Last and 5th planner- won't use it till Sep, but will use the teacher planner for my son. We are going into our third year of homeschooling.

Thank you for sharing! I enjoy your videos. I am in an EC horizontal . . . which I use as my faith journal. I also use a Hobonichi Weeks for daily planning. I am a teacher . . . and I use the EC teacher planner.

Thank you for sharing this! I am 100% inside the Daily Duo. I set it up for the next week every Sunday. I put my work meetings and to-do's in there right alongside my personal stuff -- I just use blank ink for work and blue ink for personal. I even tear out my PowerSheets Tending List and paste it into the monthly notes page so I can keep everything all together in one spot. I love it! At night if I don't have specific plans, at the end of the day I just note what I ended up doing, i.e., "binge-watched Selling Sunset" etc. :-)

I am just starting doing more than one planner this academic year. The Daily Duo by EC is planner peace for me but as I gear up to finish my UG thesis this fall and start grad school in the Spring I added a monthly planner to keep school separate so I don't get overwhelmed by everything else I have to do while trying to do my schoolwork. I appreciate the insight on how to be productive in multiple planners!

  • @MissyBri

Yes I use multiple planners! Because of the pandemic things have changed up a bit and I'm not utilizing all of them, but my (usual) planners are listed below. I like to compartmentalize each part of my life into different planners because otherwise I would be too overwhelmed with everything in one place.
    1. ECLP Hourly - I plan this out on a weekly basis as my everyday, creative outlet planner. TONS of stickers.
    2. EC Academic - not getting utilized now since I keep it at school, but it usually is used to organize my school tasks (I'm in grad school now). Most of my tasks have been absorbed into my hourly because I'm always at home now and don't want to write the same thing twice in both planners.
    3. EC Monthly - budget planner with stickers.
    4. EC Dot Grid Notebook - my health/wellness planner. More of a log than a planner, though.
    5. EC Petite Monthly - social media planner/tracker.

I am also going to be using multiple planners and plan on doing a planner stack video once they all arrive and I get in a rhythm of how they all work together. I am currently in the LifePlanner neutral hourly for basic life, appointments, kids practices and other important events, a Makselife vertical for goals, and I have a Plum Paper A5 daily on order to arrive soon!

I use multiple planners. My system has fluctuated a lot during quarantine, but right now I'm using 3 planners.
    1. Work - HP Classic and Tul Junior
    2. Home/Catchall - HP Classic
    3. Personal - moving in to a Tul Junior

Yes, yes, and yes. I love planners, so I like to use multiple planners. I have narrowed my choices down to three. I use a Filofax Personal Croc Compact Rings as my EDC/wallet. Love the flexibility of printable pages on the go. I use a B6 coil Katie Daisy weekly planner as my To-Do lister. This one keeps me on task for the day. Finally, I'm using a Hobonichi A5 bound planner as my home catch-all planner plus memory journal. Here I time track, journal, and basically have almost everything in one. I like Hobonichi, but I'll probably change this one up next year, but still use an A5 bound book. It's a great size for me, but I'd prefer a timed half-page per day instead of a week on two pages plus a full-page daily. Unless 2021 gets really busy.

Using just 1 at this time which is my Plum Paper Daily. I have enough space on the page for everything for me now but once school starts again for my kids I am trying to decide between a binder set up that I already have and can add free printables to, a big, fat cheap notebook, or a Big Happy Planner that could work through Dec.

I only have one planner and it's my bullet journal. And then took a daily planner and turned it into a daily journal for me. I've tried using more than 1 planner but I almost never filled out both or all of them. Or I would completely abandon all of the planners. It's just not for me. My bujo works perfect for me because I can put whatever I need in it.

I don't use multiple planners, but my brain also gets very active right before bed. I plan for each day the night before, it helps me to let go of all my thoughts for tomorrow and eases any anxiety I might have. I'm sleeping so much better and no longer wake up in the middle of the night!

Because I like them all I had to find use for each of mine lol. The life planner is my main planner but I think by the new year I’ll narrow them down to the ones that really help me. Hopefully to two but we shall see 😁 I’m using 5 at the moment 😜

I am using multiple planners for the first time! Curious as to how much time would you say you spend planning each week? Do you set an alotted time for yourself or just the one day you mentioned? 🖤

    • @PlanWithLaur
      @PlanWithLaur  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Great question! I feel like there is so much more I want to say about this. I do a deep-diving planning session once a week for about an hour or so. This is where I plan my week (sticker kits and such) and do my goal planning for the week. I then plan for about 30 minutes daily. 20 min at the end of my workday in my daily planner to jot down work-to to's and tasks for the next day, and then 10 minutes right before I go to sleep this is usually some form of journaling. This obviously isn't exactly what it looks like daily, but it's a pretty good indicator of how my week goes!
