My mum bought me a grey and yellow pair of Hi-Tec in 83 I was 6 yrs old and even then I wanted Nike or Adidas as thats what the little guys were talking about in school. Before that I had some 4 stripe Adidas but the memory is inconclusive. I don't remember the first pair I bought with my own money but it was probably Reebok Classics as a young teenager.
