Is The Hyundai Venue Better than the Kia Stonic??

  • The Hyundai Venue is the smallest crossover in Hyundai's lineup, slotting below the Hyundai Kona in terms of overall size. It's meant to be an option for the active millennial, which puts it in direct competition to its cousin, the Kia Stonic. In this Filipino car review, we take a showroom tour of the 2021 Hyundai Venue, which is set to be available in the Philippines by March 2021. This small city crossover is meant as an option against subcompact sedans like the Toyota Vios and the Honda City. Its price puts it at the higher end of the list though, since the top-spec Kia Stonic is priced at the same level as this base model Hyundai Venue GL. The front fascia shares in the same design language as the Hyundai Sta Fe, and to a certain extent, the Hyundai Tucson. It is based on the platform of the Hyundai Accent, which shows in its small footprint. The other main competitors of the Hyundai Venue in the Philippines is teh Ford Ecosport, and the Geely Coolray Comfort. The Chery Tiggo 5x is also within its price level.

My first choice is actually the Stonic, and remains even though the Venue does look promising and have better figures on paper.
For me, the Stonic looks so much better than the Venue. I don't like Venue's huge "venue" badge at the back, but those tail lights look real nice. But for Stonic, it's almost perfect - I will just change the emblem because it looks like a refrigerator 🤣
While Venue has better ameneties like the arm rest, leather steering wheel, etc. I can just go buy interior upgrades from an auto shop and with the price difference, it'll be the same interior.
