I have never seen anything quite like that. Its fascinating. I have a few ancient knitmaster and knit king machines - 2 in working order (4500 and I think an AM) that do not even have yarn feeders and one is a work in progress that uses discs to control needle movement in and out of hold position (Knit King AM3). I haven't yet progressed to more modern machines but love the elegant simplicity of these very old machines. This folding one is positively modern in comparison, but absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I've recently begun my knitting machine journey with a brother. I'm absolutely loving it so far. Learning how hard/gently to push the carriage without causing problems is probably the most difficult thing about machine knitting. All the rest, especially the patterning etc is easy in comparison. This machine looks amazing, but definitely would not be for a beginner like me. (And I think it fair to assume it's long gone by now).
@singlentendre it just shows the simplest ideas are usually the best. It's been very helpful as a newbie finding your channel especially seeing another man using knitting machines 👍
In Portugal? Sadly they were never sold there and they don't travel by post very well! Em Portugal? Infelizmente eles nunca foram vendidos lá e eles não viajam muito bem por correio!

😯 the tension mechanism looks interesting compared to the traditional aerial wire type ones
Yes. Sadly it doesn't actually work terribly well and most people just use a traditional mast.
