Cool! What does this mean, 33 + 8 ?

The record is originally made to play back at 45RPM but I've played it at the slower speed of 33rpm and on the technics DJ turntable that I use there is a further manual speed control that goes 8 notches faster or slower with 0 being the correct speed so +8 is 8 notches quicker than 33RPM. I have no idea how many RPM's each notch represents though. I hope this helps
