- This here skatepark review gives you a glimpse of a happier more verdant time of the year at my all time hangout spot. It’s right next to the Platte river so your sure to see lots of gals in spandex jogging and lots of bums looking for refries while they tug off a shared can of steel reserve. It’s up the street from coors field so you can watch the fireworks on 4th of July. There are usually lots of very fashionable kids on skateboards doing fashionable things. Go down here and fashion yourself a few slappies on the bank to curb. Locos por Vida.
We need more people making videos like this, the world is full of history and little stories that you'd never hear if not for people like this

1 year TUBE channel anniversary Congrats ! I love the knowledge drop. I had no idea it was an old landfill. Makes sense, and it is in excellent use of space now! The year was 2001, D-Gnar had backstage passes to the opening day, T-La was arrested on the grand opening ceremony, and Mark Spencer documented the day, I'm surprised the Algo's haven't found that video. It's a decent park a bit kooky, a bit of a mistake, but somehow came together. What's with the Queen City? I know there was an unofficial 303 video called 'Queen City'!? Charlotte and Cincinnati, have been known as Queen City. Charlotte land area actually looks like a crown on map. And has historical connotation as such.
That video was made by my homie Debo. I don’t know why it’s called that, under the bridge by the Cardiel spot it’s painted “Queen City of the plains” it’s always been called that. I think KC is the king city which is why they have the royals
Definitely a famous and worthy place in the world Denver has to offer! Lots of historically documented maneuvers of this fine thing we call skateboarding..... and scootering and rollerblader and bmxing, and uni-cycling among many other types of devices seen done on the glorious shiny, smooth, red concrete

Funny and good park video lol. Love how skateboarding is so unique to everyone. I really don't like Dpark all that much, glad it's here and all but I'd much rather hit up one of the other smaller parks that have actual street sections and reasonable transition.
I love your comment. I hated dpark at first but it was the only park with lights. It really grew on me especially the homies there.

dpark has only regressed since this video in terms of the types of people coming here. 90% of people chillin under the gazebo like to just fight and argue. We need a dpark renaissance.
The gazebo always attracts the worst set. For good or I’ll most of those people will probably be dead or in jail in the next 5 years or so.
Ok...I wanna move to Denver.

I've skated this park for many year's seen lots of shit go down there fights overdoses whatever, I like the park early in the morning but after the scooter kids roll in I'm out, can't do big crowds no more.

Man I remember the first day d park opened it was so sick! But now colorado is not colorado anymore so ill never be back to see it! From a born and raised local... screw everyone who moved there and ruined it!
