What a nice morning indeed, you made it whatever adversities are yours and thrown at you! Your "little" ammos are sure working marvels on these lesser Canada that looks so big even like "sleepers", thanks for showing us the trick again! Now you need to promote a company that produces "mud walking boots", or train a retriever, I had always a lot of fun with my twos after shooting snipes and ducks on the mudflats of seasides maritime coasts of Brittany and Normandy, long hot showers hours to get rid of the smelly mud for the three of us together in the "special hunter shower 🚿" of our 1st floor garage! Memories , memories! Wish I will be Able to do it again in Eastern North Carolina right now but the health is not there anymore so your videos are the cure for surviving the duck season! A delight to watch! Thanks again for sharing the information and the moments. Please be safe and take care, we are right there with you in your hide!
Matt, that was a great leg day workout video! I got tired just watching retrieve! Your videos continue to be high quality, not just because you limited today but even those videos that you only get a few. Thanks!
I see you're still shooting those TSS duplex rounds, I always like seeing the overshot card confetti whenever they're shot. The TSS definitely makes the 28 gauge a considerable goose foe.
I could not comprehend how you got 3 geese in that second volley hahaha. I seen the one you dropped 1st that you had to take a 2nd shot while it was standing. Then the 2nd one you took 2 shots at and it dropped off screen. It looked like when you took your first shot you must have had a scotch double. It did not look like the 2nd bird on your first shot was close at all to your target bird. Good shooting as always!
Man our season here in nh just started the 9th and I haven't seen the number of ducks we normally have opening day youth weekend wasn't to bad but nothing is around like previous years
Man I love your content and was honestly looking into the ammo you shoot but its hard to tell in the video is that the wad coming out of your barrel that looks shredded? It looks like confetti coming out and is kind of concerning.
Tss is no joke #9 is = to a lead 4 since i load my own i mix tss 8 with 4 bismuth end up with 170 pellet at under 2 dollars a round duck to geese dont stand a chance
Your walking around a mud hole with very little water left and by the way it sounds your unfamiliar with it you can get into a lot of trouble with the mud if you hit a soft spot and get sucked in and stuck in the mud with way to get yourself free from the mud
Man your ability to identify on the wing is something to aspire to for sure. As someone who pretty much only solo hunts I love your content!
Appreciate it!

Get some exercise while getting food; just another perk of hunting haha
Another great hunt! Thanks for bringing us along Matt.
Appreciate it!
What a great morning! Good to have the season going again.
So glad it's back!
Dude that is an amazing day! Thanks for sharing.
No problem!
Gotta love trudging through the mud.. great hunt…
Thanks!
Love the channel! Your videos got me into waterfowl and your videos keep me from going insane in the off-season!
Thanks! That's awesome to hear!
Congrats on a very fine hunt Matt! Barry
Thanks Barry!
Awesome video definitely a good day congrats on the double limit
Thanks Bob!
Sweet stuff Matt! I bet that was a heavy pack out!
Thanks Thomas! Yeah, sled was a little heavier on the way out haha
Quite a day to have. Congrats!
Thanks!
Very nice work buddy! That was awesome.
Thanks buddy!
It doesn't get any better than that buddy!!!! GREAT HUNT FOR SURE!!!! CONGRATS, AND GOD BLESS ALL!!!!!!👍😊🙏🙏🙏🙏
You've got that right Myron!
@@HighPrairieSportsmen 👍😊🙏
First mallard of the year....sounds really motivational. Awesome video as always. Congrats from Spain.
Thanks!
All these hunts really have me wanting a 28ga, I gotta say.
They're addicting
Awesome hunt man cant wait till the season opens up down my way. Love it when they land before shooting light and wait for you 😆
Thanks!
Great hunt!
Thanks!
Excellent~
Thanks!
That deep mud really sucks...you had a decent attitude about it. I probably would have been yelling bad words :)
That's no joke
awesome hunt
Thanks!
Wht a great hunt!!!
Thanks!
I saw the thumbnail and figured you were hunting with some buddies. When a hunt! Congrats. Are you planning on doing any more cooking vids?
Thanks Ed! I'm planning on doing some cooking vids still. Trying to really nail down my chili recipe
Super awesome hunt bro💪
Thanks!
That mud is the norm hunting the coast here in SE Texas.😆
Every day is leg day it sounds like
@HighPrairieSportsmen sure is! Plus, the only cardio I like doing!!😄
Way to go Matt !!! Hope we do half as well Saturday for the southern Michigan opener 😀🦆🦆🦆. What are the specs on the 28 gauge load?
Thanks Jack! Good luck! 2 3/4" TSS 9s
28ga 2-3/4", 3/4oz #9 TSS (1500 FPS)
I see you're still shooting those TSS duplex rounds, I always like seeing the overshot card confetti whenever they're shot. The TSS definitely makes the 28 gauge a considerable goose foe.
They're an amazing load.
Not a duplex... Straight 3/4oz #9 TSS.
@@saltcreekammo lol dang money bags, JK. I load 1/2 oz tss and 1/4 to 1/2 oz of steel just mainly as a filler to save on tss cost.
@@kevintimson6591 straight TSS is expensive, but you get what you pay for... Duplex loads are great when you can get them to pattern well.

Haha thanks! Looking back at it I think that one goose standing wasn't hit but decided not to fly.
Haha I agree Tanner! I couldn't figure it out either... 🤔 I rewatched it and was equally confused.
Great video!! What size shots if you don’t mind me asking?
Thanks! 2 3/4" TSS 9s
@@HighPrairieSportsmen well done 👍
Nasty mud . Definitely kicks the rear .
That's no joke
Heck of a shoot Matt! Does the TSS go right through the bird?
Thanks Paul! I've yet to find a pellet in a duck. I have found a few in the geese but they're usually lodged in the breastbone.
Dried up pond produces more birds than filled up ones, eh!
Haha that's about all that's left with the drought
28G is where it's at.
Yessir
Seem like a goose hunter to me
Snow goose hunter
FIRSTT!!!! Lol Gonna watch it before the hurricane comes through!
Stay safe man!
Exelent
👍🏻
What the crap - Goose and Duck in Wyo and Newbraska , but here in colo only duck next week and nov till goose - good for you !
Dang, that stinks!
Not sure if I have ever been on a hunt where I limited on geese before shooting my first duck of the morning.
Yeah, me neither. Definitely a first
What type of Gun Cam are you using.? In the market for one for Waterfowl & Upland Game but not sure which ones are worth getting.?
Shotkam Gen 4
Awesome hunt! I’m in the market for a new waterfowl shotgun. Any suggestions?
Thanks! Winchester SX4 is a pretty good one in 12 and 20
They notice your tracks
Not much that could be done about that
Looked like the second goose you got was the one you missed initially.
I think so
A good video. Do you mind telling me shot size and manufacturer of the shot? A good video as usual.
Thanks Phil! Salt Creek Custom 2 3/4" TSS 9s. There's a link in the description to their site as well
Man our season here in nh just started the 9th and I haven't seen the number of ducks we normally have opening day youth weekend wasn't to bad but nothing is around like previous years
That's crazy
New to waterfowl hunting. What's the purpose of the taps on your gun before shooting?
It activates the Shotkam
Man I love your content and was honestly looking into the ammo you shoot but its hard to tell in the video is that the wad coming out of your barrel that looks shredded? It looks like confetti coming out and is kind of concerning.
Thanks! That's not the wad, just flak they pack into the shells.
Just wondering Matt, what made you choose TSS so far this season over bismuth such as BOSS?
Tungsten is heavier than Bismuth. Packs a heavier punch in the same sized package.
Heard how much better it is over steel and bismuth. Wanted to try it for myself.
@@MnnicE15 yeah, I knew that just wondered if the price point for TSS was worth over bismuth.
Time to get a dog, Matt!
Haha maybe so
If yall gotta walk through mud like this go toe down instead of flat foot. Makes it easier to pull your foot out to take your next step. 🤙
Great tip!
Tss is no joke #9 is = to a lead 4 since i load my own i mix tss 8 with 4 bismuth end up with 170 pellet at under 2 dollars a round duck to geese dont stand a chance
It's amazing the knockdown it has. A TSS 9 would be similar to a steel 2 correct?
@@HighPrairieSportsmen correct maybe even a #1
Aim tight

Wtf are you shooting at

Check it out
