The Cathedrals Express - 7029 Clun Castle flies up Hatton Bank, plus 44871- The Chesireman 2/3/24

The day started with and early morning departure shot of GWR 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ leaving Warwick Parkway with 1Z29, hauling Vintagetrains’ Cathedrals Express from Birmingham Snow Hill to Salisbury and return. 7029 looking the part with the Cathedrals express headboard and chocolate and cream rake. ​⁠‪@crunchynutsteamfilms5043‬ took my other camera to Leamington Spa which allowed me to get a follow up shot of 7029 heading through the centre road. After missing my connecting train there was a change of plan.
Making a quick dash over to Atherstone to film 1Z72 with Ian Riley’s Black 5 44871 working Railway Touring Companies ‘Chesireman’ railtour from London Euston to Chester.
After a few hours of killing time we headed to Hatton Station to catch 7029 Clun Castle working 1Z30 back to Birmingham Snow Hill. The Castle came through at speed with a good shove from the diesel on the rear. Quite impressive to say it had set down passengers at Warwick Parkway.

I caught Clun Castle at widney manor at 7.30am then went over to Lichfield to catch Black 5 44871 at Trent Valley, Then caught it's return about 17.15 before a quick trip into Birmingham to see Clun Castle at Birmingham Moor Street around 19.25
