Veteran SABC broadcaster Mduduzi Hlophe laid to rest

Veteran SABC broadcaster, Mduduzi Hlophe was laid to rest on Saturday at the Westpark cemetery in Johannesburg. Hlophe was described by many at the funeral service, as an unsung hero within the broadcasting industry. He died this week at his home in Soweto at the age of 75. His career saw him present isiZulu news bulletins on SABC TV. He also distinguished himself as a respected radio drama producer and radio sports presenter. He retired from the SABC in the 1990s, and is survived by his son and daughter.
