- Listen. We all know it can be really daunting to shop for swimsuits. And it really doesn’t help that sizing is ALL OVER THE PLACE! Today, our girls are all trying on the same swimsuit from 5 different stores in their sizes (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large) to see if we can find the perfect suit for our body types!

I feel like their swimsuits have like no padding in them though and they aren't flattering to girls with smaller chests. Also they're pretty plain and a lot of the one pieces have completely open backs which to me isn't comfortable.

I have three from this year and they are all super colorful with different and fun designs. I mean I am sure the do have plain ones but they also have a lot of fun ones.

I am usually a 1X, and a few summers back a friend of mine who is a 2/4 needed a new swimsuit. I tagged along for moral support, knowing full well nothing in the stores she went to would remotely fit me. While she was in the change room I started rummaging on a clearance rack where I found, of all things, a Calvin Klein racerback top and high-waisted bottom in an XL that fit me like a glove. I would absolutely have expected a brand like CK to run small and nearly didn't even bother trying it on, but I'm so glad I did.

Hips, shoulders, torso, etc. I can usually swing a small, but I prefer medium/large with clothes because they’re more comfortable and fit my torso better. Small is usually too short for my torso.

Thats pretty much all high end name brand store don't have XL or Larger I went into a H&M once to find some shirts and they didn't have any larger tops bigger then a XL I was like come on these shirts are cute

I went into a VS once to get myself a pretty bright underwear set in XL and all they had was granny looking brown, nude and black sets, so I asked the girl on the shop floor if they had any nicer ones then what I had in my hand and she said "I'm so sorry but that's the only style and colours we do". I have never felt more fat and ugly in my whole life than in that moment of being in Victoria secret.
pootybottom 182 I wear an extra large and so does my sister during Black Friday last year my sister got into PINK and VS cloths and they had XL flash forward a couple months later we asked if they have XL in a pair of pants and they reply it was a Christmas experiment my sister was heartbroken that she could no longer get cloths at PINK and VS

i am really loving these sizing episodes! shopping can be awful and leave you feeling more like your body is a problem than the sizes available. seeing here how a matching top and bottom rarely work together was super eye-opening.

You dont have to go for something super skimpy if you dont want to, high waisted (and with a little ruffle around the leg holes/across the hips to cover just the V of your crotch makes me feel much more secure than a cheeky booty bottom, and for tops you can go for a more wrap type style, i also feel much more secure in that type than a triangle bra

For the longest time I was terrified of wearing bikinis in public. I just got my first bikini a few days ago and I love it. I don't like my body but the bikini makes me feel beautiful and amazing. You just need to take the risk and get what you feel yourself in.
I don’t really like to wear bikinis because I’m SUPER afraid that either the bottoms or the top will come off when I jump off the diving board or just into the pool. I also was a swimmer for a long time so other swimsuits besides like the swimmer sim suits feels weird to me. But you do you!😁

More people need to see this! It's so true...sizing is up to the company that makes the clothes, so there is ZERO consistency throughout the industry! Also I feel a lot of brands are clique-y with their sizing not going to even an XL...that's kinda effed.

Well, each of them is taller than the last, and they all have hourglass (or hourglass adjacent) figures, so they all look slender. It’s all about proportion!
I’m an M for bottoms as well🤷🏻♀️ Have a lil bit of a booty and you need one size up
I've seen some people say there is no way they're a size "blank" but people carry weight very differently. There was a video that Sierra Schultzzie and Carrie Dayton did where it shows this. Some people carry weight in their stomachs, some it's in their chest, some in the butt or arms or legs or even thighs. I also think the height truly comes into this as well. I remember Erin saying in one of her videos that she was 5'8" I think? and both Drew and Loryn appear to be taller. I know they might seem the same size as you if or even the body type one envisions due to stereotypes from the media but I really don't think anyone should really be saying someone is "too small" to be a L or XL, but hey that's just my opinion.

I understand that it’s frustrating and wrong that VS doesn’t carry XL but don’t patronize people who wear size XS. VS should be size inclusive which means carry sizes for people who wear XL and people who wear XS, even if you consider them “child sized”.
maybe even sizes above xl :O your right though they should be size accepting to a wide range of sizes making fun or belittling an xs is the same as shaming an xl +.

I think her main compliant was that very few women are a size XS compared to the amount of women who are a size XL or larger. So, why carry an XS and not the other sizes?

I remember going into VS for the first time in college (yes college) with my roommates. They where filling there bags with things to try and it took me 20min to find two things that was 'my size' that they had to pull from the back. Went to the dressing room only to find them too small. Sat in there for another 10min crying... it really sucked and I have yet to ever set foot in another VS store again.

I absolutely love this video but just have to say I did get a little upset when they said that the XS was "for children" when I myself am an XS and am extremely self-conscious about it. I know that this was not their intention at all and they are all such amazing a sweet people but this just made me feel a little dejected.
I wish you weren't self conscious though. It makes me sad that women in all shapes and sizes feel this way. I know I do from time to time. Just love yourself and rock that XS. We all have our differences and we should just own it and work it like it's nobody's business. Life's too short.

As a large girl, 42DDD, I got an old Navy XL top that fits Beautiful! Not that same top, but another. It's my FAVORITE! Then I got bottoms, XL again, from Target. and this is my first year wearing a 2piece.

If you are a specific size that you are used to seeing how big it is in your size smaller sizes really seem too small if you are used to a specific length.

Try TrueFit! It literally solves all these problems! It’s at soooo many stores too! It’s sooo helpful and takes the work out of shopping! I love it sooo much, I recommend! There’s more info and details on their website.
