Viper also used rule-breaking tactics in Duel v Ash when there was a hit before Mark Clattenburg started the game. Viper stopping Ash from scoring in The Ring is not revenge best served without the referee stopping the game.

It would've meant Ash facing another gladiators which could've been a big disadvantage to him
I do however think the referee could've awarded Extra Points to Ash for VIPER'S FOUL PLAY
