Lots of great stuff in this episode, but the whole dance sequence, especially Kay, is just the best. I think Skye Roberts does a great job as Kay this season. And then, of course, the dance ends the way it does because, well, Doom Patrol. 🙂
So Kay's actress was promoted to title credits for this season which is cool. The fact that a company can control and basically own Cyborg's body is kind of fucked up. I love that Larry's relationship with the Negative Spirit is sort of like a gay romantic relationship.
You know what is hilarious? The herald of Garguax is played by Billy Boyd. Who played Pippin in The Lord of the Rings. It took half the episode before I realized it was him!
This was a great episode, in a lot of ways the actual season premiere given how episode 1 had to wrap up the lingering storylines from last season. I really enjoy what they are setting up for the different characters, especially Vic and Jane (my favs along with Rita). The stuff with Kay/Jane is interesting, after dealing with some of the initial trauma Kay can start to grow. It's going to be interesting seeing how Kay taking a more active role will affect the rest of the Underground. Also question: Why was Cliff in a steam room? He can't feel anything and also is that steam good for his robot body? Can he rust?
Yeah some of the eps have the extra scene that pertains to a future eps, if you had missed that one, you'd have been like uh wtf in an upcoming eps lol. This season, was for me, the one I struggled with in understanding, had to watch it a few times but I'm still like hmmmm. I loved it though lol, this next eps is one of my favorites it terms of character insights into themselves. Growth.
thanks for showing the end credit scene I didnt get to see it when I watched this episode

Larry isn't trapped in the negative Spirit, the negative Spirit just sent him back to earth. You'll find out why throughout the season, trust me.
