A conversation with Nigeria's Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar

Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar was recently in Washington on a trip meant to bolster economic and technical cooperation with the United States. In a VOA interview with Jackson Mvunganyi, Tuggar said progress has been made in combating the insurgency and restoring peace in the north of Nigeria, which is crucial for the stability and economic prosperity of his country, and for the broader region. He also spoke about his country’s role in supporting democratic governance and stability and reflected on Nigeria’s leadership within ECOWAS.
