As for feedback on Osc D @8:54 I think this is because all other oscillators are being modulated by other oscillators except for Osc D, this means you can use feedback to get Osc D to modulate itself. I think if you choose other algorithms you'll find feedback available on other oscillators as well.
8:56 osc D is the only operator that is not modulated by another one. Hence feedback is enabled. If you'd have chosen the all parallel algorithm then each operator would have had the feedback enabled ;)
