lol…we were just talking about this today! We want to redo the entry way and stairs. If we redo that we will replace everything. But we just had another child in January so it will be awhile before we ready to replace it.
Once you put it into place you twist the lock and that holds it in place. Now it can’t be removed and there is no extra slack, until you unlock it again.
I appreciate your concern. There aren’t many options for what I need and could install. This was the best of what I could figure out. It has served its purpose perfectly. I don’t claim it’s the best practice , but it works. It’s a mute point now my youngest can work the gate. So he comes and goes as he pleases.
Just bought one and had no clue thank you.
Thank u it helped a lot
Awesome! It’s a great gate and works perfectly!
How will you fill /fix the holes in the spindle? I’m worried about our stairs looking terrible when we remove!

I would've like to know which drill bit to use. I'm never very sure what size to use I usually just eyeball it.
Hello, thanks for the video, it is very helpful. I would like to know how resistant it is if the child is recharged in the area that remains flexible

Now, any clue how to get the mount OFF the wall? I need to move mine and can’t find removal instructions ANYWHERE 😫
Finally found this and came off in 10 seconds!

Just bought the expandable gate, and the know doesn't turn. Any ideas?
Sorry no, I’d contact the manufacturer if I were you.
Amazing installation but these aren’t recommended for top of stairs, not safe.
