Welcome to my channel! In this Cricut Design Space Beginner video, I am going to show you how to add fonts to Cricut Design Space on iPad. I will show you which app you should install to make the whole process super duper easy!
I will show you both how to get fonts from DaFont into Cricut on iPad as well as how to download, unzip and install fonts to Cricut Design Space on iPad from other sites (I'm using The Hungry JPEG as my example). In this video we will be using a FREE app called iFont to install our fonts, if iFont doesn't work on your iPad, you can also try AnyFont or Fonteer as well.
I also include a super quick tutorial on how to fix spacing issues and how to troubleshoot a common font problem (when letters fill in).

Do I have to download systems fonts I have already downloaded to my computer again in order to use them on my iPad in Design Space
What a fantastic video! Everything worked exactly as you explained! Thank you! I do have one question. Do some fonts have the ability to be ‘written” having the “handwriting style” option? How do you tell?
Hello, not sure what do you mean by the "ability to be written", do you mean you will be the one to write it? I think it is not possible since it is already a font, it is called a handwriting style since this font is based on someone's handwriting. Did I answer your question? :-)
some of the many free fonts will not work well for writing...they will create hollow letters when you change from cut to draw. There are some that work better than others...it's a matter of finding the ones that work best
How do I get fonts I have already downloaded into my computer system fonts to show in Design Space on my iPad?
So. When I download and do everything and restart design space and use the fonts they are they but they don’t change the font. It stays as the default even though the different font is selected.
Your instructions seems so good and I reviewed them again and again to make sure that I followed them correctly but the font I chose does not show up in Design Space. I am missing something so I will just have to keep trying🙁
Another day and so I log into design space and still nothing so I go back to iFont, not sure what I did differently, just “looked” around, didn’t see anything different I could do, went back to design space and, wait for it, my downloaded fonts were miraculously there! Yay
Maybe sometimes its just slow to show up but glad it's already there :-)
What about Android devices? I was so excited to find your video, but I own no Apple products, only Android, and am struggling!
I followed you up til 4:41 and downloaded the font but once I exit out of settings and go back, the font disappears. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!
Can you double check that iFont is up to date? They updated their app to work with IOS14 4 days ago, but Cricut Design Space needs to update in order to support user installed fonts. I have been in contact with the CDS IOS people and they are working on the update which should be available soon - so just hang tight.
I hope someone can help. I am using an iPad, and i am trying to use TEXT on the the cricut design, but every time I attempt to set it up to cut, its always set to PRINT. The text are not pictures, so i cant change it that, rather i use text from the CRICUT. But i am not sure how to change it CUT as i dont want to print? TIA

Where do I find a pass code? When I go to my setting and click on Profile download it asks me for a pass code.

ever since iOS 14 update, I've lost all fonts. So frustrated.

FabyG no updates yet the font company I talked to said 6 months
I tried this and even paid for another app. It doesn’t work since the new ios14. I think we just gotta wait.
Oh mine was still on 13, just updating it now. I'm assuming that we need to give the Font App people time to update their app and make it compatible with the new version which I'm sure they will do.
There is a support email for the app people, might email them and ask :)
