I started pole beans last week and they sprouted so fast I will start some cucumbers this weekend Peas are not as successful for me in the fall as well but I will try again My sweet peas are not doing well also Thank you for all providing a list
This is kind of an experiment on my part so I can’t really say if work or not I am in Wisconsin and zone 5B. I’m trying to start butterfly peas this time of year. I think it should do OK before the frost and harvest some of the flowers, but that, thank you for the very informative video. God bless you and your family. Duane
I started a second round of bush beans last week and today I started some lettuce indoors. I will also try to sow a second round of snow peas and snap peas soon. It is supposed to be cooler in a few days, so maybe that is the time to put them in. I have never tried brassicas in the fall, but I am tempted to try a few. My cucumbers are still going gangbusters and zucchini last year made it through the whole summer until close to frost, so I am not planning to restart more.
It sounds like you have a great fall garden in the making! I’ve definitely had mixed success growing brassicas in the fall, but I always like to give it a try in case it’s a good year for them.
I love hearing the chickens in the background:) your garden looks great. Mine is sure starting to suffer from the heat. You motivated me to start some new cucumbers. I typically don’t do that, but maybe it will extend our cucumber harvest. I’ll try it out.
Such a helpful video! I’m inspired to plant some fall greens today even though we’re staring at a week of 104-108°! When you succession plant, do you use new bed space or do you plant where there are established plants? For instance, where do you re-seed for lettuce? On the same lettuce bed or an empty bed?
I do a little of both - when I harvest a lot of something, like my garlic bed, I’ll replant, but I also just stick new plants here and there as I pull out old ones. I hope your greens do well! It’s been hot here, but it sounds like it’s even hotter where you are!
Great video, thank you. I will be planting radishes for sure, I bought some seeds today. :) Please don't take offense... you seem tongue tied, go see your dentist , it takes only moments. Truth is all that matters. Cheers.
Thanks for the great suggestions for what to grow now. Have a wonderful day
Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful day too!

It’s amazing how fast things sprout this time of year! I hope we’re both able to be successful with fall peas this year!

I hope the second cucumber sowing does well for you!
I planted zucchini in containers on Saturday the time to germination said 8 days it's Thursday and they have all spouted already. I am very excited 🎉
I love how the warm weather makes everything sprout so much faster!
Excellent video and teaching. Thank you 😊
