Hey man, nice to see you still working on the turbo ‘rolla, have you ever thought about insulating the car? I personally insulated the trunk and it truly made a difference, less rattling while driving.
Yes! I actually started doing some the other week, I did some interior upgrades in this video! And put some sound deadening under the carpet. And plan to do more soon! th-cam.com/video/F8NZ5Y70n0Q/w-d-xo.html
Best brakes on a budget, if the rotors are savable for the next set of pads, for 75 bucks they are great, I have a ton of time on these and they only fade when brake rotors are on fire
I put the same exact rotors and pads on mine and haven’t had an issue and definitely performs pretty good, I also have the steel braided lines so overall my car stops pretty well to say the least with a nice firm pedal, maybe the pedal issue with the brakes could be the stock brake lines, given that they can expand
They are great for the price! The steel braided brakes lines was something I was thinking about upgrading as well! That would be nice to get a firmer pedal!
@@BrandonStellmachHey man I used to watch your videos a lot and it made me want to make my own videos a bit, I’m trying to do that right now. It would be cool if you watched a video or two, it’d mean a lot coming from the guy who got me excited about my car and about making TH-cam videos.
Thank you! And I have been thinking about painting them! Just need to figure out what color to go with! Don’t think I want to do the typical red. I want to try something different!
I use a Manul Brake Fluid Pump. I Guess its just these Corolla cause mine is the same with Steel Brakes line. No matter how i bleed them it always feels soft not spongy but it stop great with EBC brakes and Rotors. I also read online that these Corolla just have soft brake pedal not firm and hard.
Yeah I have tried other ways to bleed them with no success either! I have heard the same thing about the brakes and clutch pedals. They are very soft! It’s hard for me to know what’s normal since I have never driven a new one, so I don’t know what they should feel like!
Love your videos! It nice to see someone working on a Rolla. I have a 2017 Rolla se. I want to mod it to be more like a civic si but don’t know where to begins. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you! I appreciate it! As for making it like a civic Si, are you just trying to get more power? Or making it look like one? Because there are plenty of bolt ons and a tune that can make it just as fast as one! As for looks, hard to say what to do, other than a body kit and more aggressive wheels and suspension!
@@BrandonStellmach Thanks for answering my comment…. I guess my goal is to just make it fun to drive like a civic si if that makes sense. I definitely don’t want to compromise reliability or all of my fuel economy. 😅 It’s already a pretty decent cruiser with all the windows and sunroof down.
@@noahfolk468depending on how much you plan to spend. The best to start with is suspension, like nice coil overs/lowering springs. And some upgraded strut and sway bars to stiffen the suspension. That way it handles great! But going with some simple bolt ons and a tune, will not compromise these cars, it is still very conservative!
@@BrandonStellmachalright, thanks for the advice. Can’t wait to see what I can do. I have an axel back borla that sounds ok… I would like it to be louder with maybe the pops and bags you had on your rolla. I’m definitely trying to keep the price down. I want to save for the next ride….
Yeah I noticed it started peeling away about a month ago, so I decided to pull it off before it falls off! I think I just didn’t prep the surface good enough because the tape was still sticking good to the emblem! The rear one is holding on great! So I think it was just not prepped good!

Installed these on my 2008 corolla and they were garbage. Noise was untolerable with grinding sounds and the back sounding like playing cards from the holes. Went back to fresh OEM. Gave the V6 rav4 an upgrade last month and same issues. Switched back to fresh OEM front rotors but left the back ones with drilled and slotted. Waste of money and time all around.
Wanted to add that anyone doing these, make sure to double check and place the rotors with the slots facing the correct way. If you run them wrong and bed them properly, you'll have to replace the new pads or possibly both rotors and pads.
Thank you for your channel bro hella helps me!! I got a
09 Corolla S manual and she’s super clean I’ve been loving her!!
No problem! I approached you watching the videos!
That’s awesome! Love seeing other manual corollas out there!
Nothing wrong with an upgrade. I got drilled and slotted rotors on my 03 Corolla 👍
Exactly! Not only does it perform better! But they also look better!
I have the same ones. Had them for a year now, and they still work like new.
They are great! I have had them on several cars, and had no issues!

I agree! These should be able to last a whole, especially if you resurface the rotors and just swap out pads!

You can still change out the drums and brake shoes if they’re worn
To be honest, I have never done drum brakes before, but possible might change them out soon, or upgrade to some disk brakes in the rear!
@@BrandonStellmachI look forward to that content. I would like to swap to rotors and pads for my rear as well

Need to change the brakes and rotors for my Corolla. Really not sure what brand to go with. Seeing mixed comments about these
I have used these several times on plenty of my cars, and no issues! But I know there are many other brands out there that will work just as good!
you should try to put a 2zz intake manifold
I believe I have seen someone on the forms do the swap! Might be something to try!

hey brandon i noticed your TEQ front logo is missing was it caused by bad double sided tape?

Hey 2011 Corolla s here with 109,000 miles. Should I turbo?
I put a turbo on mine with 135k miles! I definitely would say do it, if you want to take the corolla to the next level!
Just installed my Weapon R headers today, was a pain with stands. How long did it take for the smoke to stop? Also W video I’m doing brakes next
That’s awesome! I believe when I did it, it smoked for a good 20-30 minutes. And probably after about 2 full heat cycles, I didn’t see anymore smoke!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with these! Luckily every time I used them, they have been great!
But you can never go wrong with OEM brakes!
What is your day job? if i can ask haha
😂 I have been asked this a lot lately! But I am a manufacturing engineer at an aerospace company.
