Thanks for putting in the time to do a review. Especially a review of riding it for over a year, that really gives an impression of how you really feel about this bike. I’m 59 grew up riding early mountain bikes in Marin county, NorCal. They were just Japanese 10 speed bikes with different bars and a bit wider tires. They were not confidence inspiring I can tell you! I was out of biking for many years but recently got back in. My old bikes were 26in wheels so jumping back in I went 27.5 hardtails. Built a few then tried mullet and full 29er. Now my three hardtails are all mullet, it’s the best set up I feel. I’m going to get a full suspension so I can give my bones a break from the hardtails every once in a while. I was looking at the Santa Cruz Bronson which is a pretty dialed in mullet. But these yt bikes are a great value and the Capra geo numbers look close to the Bronson.

@@michaelrieser9928 thanks for taking the time to check it out and comment! Nice!!! I bet the trails out there are so good!
Welcome back to the bike world haha! I definitely think the mullet is the way to go! I rode a full suspension 29er for years and a 27.5 full sus and loved it but getting that monster truck wheel up front and the small wheel in the rear is truly the perfect combo. I was intrigued about it for so long and now that I’m on it I have no plans to ride anything else. I’m a big fan of the Santa Cruz bikes but after having this YT for over a year and my YT Jeffsy I had for 5 years, it’s just hard to justify spending THAT MUCH money on another brand bike when I know I can get a bike that’s just as good with a much better parts spec for a fraction of the cost. You could get the top tier Capra for the price of a much lower spec Santa Cruz, specialized, etc. I’ve been insanely impressed with them and don’t feel like I’m sacrificing anything in terms of quality. I’m a huge fan of the brand.

Thanks, man! My buddy actually just got the core 2! I’m gonna try to get on it at some point to be able to see how it compares. He got the full 29er version

Great video, I have the Uncaged 11 Capra and its an unbelievable rig! The spec is ridiculous for the money and I got £1700 off the rrp 🤘🏻

what's up i'm in the market for a ONE BIKE quiver ride and was thinking Capra.... coming from a Ripley AF. Core 1 most likely. sounds like you would recommend the Capra? I ride SoCal

@@lestthereal1 I’d definitely recommend the heck out of this bike. I’ve been using it for a one quiver ride and having a blast on it. It’s a bit heavier on some climbs but I just run it with a little more psi in the suspension and it’s not bad at all. Plus then on the descents it’s soooooo much fun. Also the perfect bike park bike. It’s given me so much more confidence on stuff. I’ve been very very happy with it

If you want one that climbs a little better the Jeffsy is a bit more well rounded, but with how good this one is on the descents for me it’s worth lugging a bit more weight. I love the way the stand I’ve height and everything feels on this bike. It just is a blast on everything
