@ ahhh gotcha. I haven’t done too much traditional Pilates so I may not be the best to ask on that front. I’m not even sure how/why these things are called Pilates boards 😂but what I can say is I purchased it for my wife but have incorporated it into my workouts and use it way more than I thought I would. You really can get a heck of a core workout out of this thing. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised

I definitely think the mullet is the way to go! I rode a full suspension 29er for years and a 27.5 full sus and loved it but getting that monster truck wheel up front and the small wheel in the rear is truly the perfect combo. I was intrigued about it for so long and now that I’m on it I have no plans to ride anything else. I’m a big fan of the Santa Cruz bikes but after having this YT for over a year and my YT Jeffsy I had for 5 years, it’s just hard to justify spending THAT MUCH money on another brand bike when I know I can get a bike that’s just as good with a much better parts spec for a fraction of the cost. You could get the top tier Capra for the price of a much lower spec Santa Cruz, specialized, etc. I’ve been insanely impressed with them and don’t feel like I’m sacrificing anything in terms of quality. I’m a huge fan of the brand.

@@stargazeification because if it’s a good review it has to be a shill right?😂 but have you ever actually ridden a set yourself? There’s so many people riding them now a days and anybody I’ve talked to with a set actually out on the mountain always have nothing but positive things to say about them. Last year every ski resort I went to I ran into at least 1-2 people running them and they were enjoying them just as much as myself

@@stargazeification also having an affiliate link doesn’t mean anything. You can create an affiliate link for literally any product or brand so why would you push a certain one if you didn’t like it? I could create one in 2 seconds for union, nidecker, Burton etc

@ hey I’m not gonna say they’re not enjoyable. You could go snowboarding on the crapiest rental board and still have fun. I got to try them for about 4 days and just found them super clunky and heavy. Not much flex if any and the base being a big chunk of plastic made the board feel super dead. Had some problems with the ratchets too and the straps coming loose, had a screw work loose then lost it. They were however my friends pair so they weren’t brand new which could definitely have something to do with the problems I encountered. Like I think the design is pretty cool and original, but walking around with the high back and having basically a stirrup under foot just felt a bit awkward. QC seems to be a bit lacking too. It seems very coincidental that every TH-camr and influencer has the same thing to say about the clews, that they’re amazing and they’d never go back to standard bindings. You would think there’d be a couple of people saying they weren’t the best or even that they just prefer standard bindings. But everyone who gets an affiliate link and a few sets of these all say they’re amazing. Seems extremely convenient. I really want to try the supermatics, they seem like a super interesting design too without having something extra strapped to your foot. Be interesting to know if you’ve tried them or the Burton step ons. Problem with the burtons is being limited to only Burton and dc boots. So the fact that the clews and the supermatics let you use any boot is a massive plus.

@@BoardsBikesAndHikes then why don’t you? I’m not intimately familiar with your channel but I’m guessing you don’t have an affiliate link to every product you use/review. Sorry I’m not trying to give you specifically a hard time or anything, it just seems like there’s a series of TH-cam snowboarding channels all pushing clew pretty hard.

@ nah no worries I totally get it and I appreciate you saying that. You get so many people that just jump on the troll bandwagon. They are pushed pretty heavy right now, I get that for sure, but they’ve gained so much popularity in the last 2 years so I think that’s why. I had mine before that big wave started. I do have affiliate links for most of my gear that I’ll post in my full videos of snowboarding. Anything I actually like/use I have links for. If I don’t like it I won’t make one. I’ve done a few reviews I wasn’t a fan of a product and didn’t make those links.

@@willemvergouwen heck ya! It’s so so worth it! Once you do it you wont want to go back! I haven’t. Myself and my other 3 buddies that all got step ons all had the photon boots. We all loved them so we never tried anything else. Still to this day one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ran. I’m currently on the CLEW and running some DC controls and I miss my photons sometime haha

@ dang. That is quite a bit of a price difference. We all had just the regular photons and loved the slightly stiffer flex of them. The soft wasn’t an option back then so it’s hard to say. We thought it was a fantastic boot as is. From what I’ve read the soft version just has a bit more flex and articulation going front to back. But without testing it I can’t say. That is a big price difference for sure

@@johnnydoeboy9301 actually the mind expander twin is made to downsize a bit. It’s wider than most for its size. Even on the Jones website they recommend a 154 for someone with a 10.5 boot and weighs 170. Soooooo🤷🏻‍♂️
