That was me in 1989 as a junior leader in Folkstone. Good to see the programme is still running ❤ I‘ve had a lot of good experiences in life & professional adavnacement based on the mentality that was drummed into us for a year as 16 year olds: adapt, improvise and overcome

@@01karmacop Look up Thmas Blake Glover born in Fraserburough in Scotalnd to an English father, and Scottish mother, thus Scottish as far as this Englishman is concerned. He ended the Shogunpower in Japan, and was single handedly the reason Japan modernised in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Madam Butterfly is about his Japanese wife, and he is the most revered person outside of the Royal family in Japan. They even have a national holiday in his honour. Stronger together poorer apart is what the Island of great britiain aspires to. %40 percent of modern western invetions came from this one relaitvely small island.
Just to clarify I am the Sassenach that with a very posh English accent found himself in the Gorbals when based at Prestwick airport Naval Air Station in the late 1970's early 1980's. I was petrified that I would get killed so I simply did what any resourceful Englishman would do I walked into the nearest bar and asked the barman if he could tell me the way to the city centre. Now back then being English in the Gorbals normally meant a severe mauling, but the Joviality i caused by calling myself a stupid wee sassenach seemed to take the edge off the place. Someone volunteered to take me to the city centre, and with somer trepidation I followed him. We honestly must have visited every bar in the area before he got me near the bridge which crosses the Clyde to the city itself! I thanked him for his time, and he actually said that because I told him I was in the Royal navy it was an honour to help me. Of course i had to do it all again the next weekend, as no one at the air station would believe I had been to and survived the Gorbals. I love Scotland, and once professed an intention to retire to Oban, but my life and boys have scuppered that idea. I travel to Scotland to visit a freind fairly regeularly in Glasgow, and I do think the Glasgow brogue has softened over time somewhat. Glasgow itself I personally think, is a beautiful city, and one of Scotland's best kept "secrets."

Every single young recruit was white. There was no diversity here whatsoever. They are trying to convince White people's children to grow up to fight the Israeli wars that their parents did. There's no diversity in the people they want dead.

I remember my first cold night. They had us smashing up ice on a runway by punching it with our bare hands. No particular reason.
Later at about 3am, we found we were one short and the guy nicknamed "Lurch" had fallen asleep in a ditch at minus 8 degrees. That guy could sleep anywhere.

    • @Orbital_Inclination

It's normal. Recruits train on the older variant. And then they're introduced to the a3 when they make it though their initial training. They'll then train on the a3 and continue working on their skills and drills with the unit they're with
