+Bruceann Yellowega Unfortunately, putting it in thewashing machine will be too aggressive and you will wash almost if not all of the tempera out of the fabric. Doing it by hand allows you more control. For any additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
+Jeze Bay Unfortunately, poster paint will not work because it is not permanent. While the pigment may stain the fabric, the majority of the paint will wash out. Acrylic paint or fabric paints really are the best options. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
+Marisol Catts Yes, you can use acrylic paints instead of tempera. However, make sure that they are not listed as “washable”. If you want to do this technique on wearable cloth, then be sure to use fabric paint or add a fabric medium to your acrylic paint. We suggest the Blickrylic Student Acrylics and the Chromacryl Textile Medium. If you have additional questions, you can reach Blick Product Information at 1-800-933-2542 or info@dickblick.com. Thanks!
+Didang Sampang Thank you for you questions. In the video she is using Blick’s Premier Tempera Paint, and Elmer’s Clear Washable Glue. As for the different types of glue, we would recommend as long as your glue is washable and does not permanently affix itself to the fabric it should work. If you could let us know what products you are using we could find out their compatibility for this project. For right now, we would suggest testing all these items out on a small piece before making your final art piece. We hope this helps and let us know if you have any more questions.
