As impressive the MCU franchise has done in its 15 year run so far, I'm also impressed at how James Bond the earliest franchise here has remained in the top 5 for 50 years. Of course the way MCU is going, it will likely remain number one 50 years from now.
It'll likely remain number one inflation-adjusted for the rest of time. I don't see any universe as expansive as the MCU being conceived ever again as long as the filmmaking industry exists.
The MCU will remain the highest-grossing inflation-adjusted probably for the rest of history, purely because of how expansive the universe is. It probably has around another decade of releases left in it, so time for a further 10 billion dollars perhaps, and after that, I don't see any universe as huge as the MCU being conceived ever again. The others on this list are huge in their own rights, particularly Star Wars and James Bond over the years, and they still have absolutely nothing on the MCU.
Nice to see that "Sherk" defeated all original Disney properties aside from PoC in the end. In theory, as the previous Spiderman properties were canonised to the MCU, that franchise could also be included in its total. You could even count X-Men in the MCU as it's been essentially confirmed that it's canon (we all know the two properties will meet in the Multiverse saga). Even without them though, adjusted for inflation I don't think anything will ever beat the MCU.
Umm where is back to the future, hunger games ,mission impossible, despicable me, Twilight, planet of the apes, Ghostbusters, godfather, terminator, lethal weapon, it looks like you did this wrong and according to the actual highlights groceries franchise list mcu1# star wars#2 James bond#3 batman #4 spiderman #5 harry potter#6 jurassic park #7 x-men #8 DCU #9
I'm sorry, but this is so poorly made! Franchises shown steadily making money in years in which no movies were released. Then, months in which movies are released barely any money being made, even when said movies are breaking records. I mean movies like Star Wars 7, Avengers 3 and 4, Jurassic World, etc. literally grossed more than a billions in a single month. Also, you say in the description that this is adjusted for inflation, but it is obviously not.
Whats your favorite movie franchise?
Hey, how do you make these videos?
Sherk
MCU❤
MCU❤
Harry Potter always ❤
MCU and Harry Potter are my favorites, but props to James Bond for being number one for 4 decades.
4:56 "Sherk" LMAO
MCU is like "on your left"
Apparently I don’t recall ‘Sherk’ 🤔
Mcu just going to the moon Jesus
Of course!

I didn't eralize Sherk was so successful.
Avatar on this list with only two movies is crazy!
What a Great video 📈
Had no idea James Bond was top grossing franchise for like 40 years. Idk if that's possible again

It's crazy how Pirates of the Caribbean was only making a few thousand dollars per month at the end of the video
Was cool seeing Lotr go right back up for their 10 year anniversary. Still holds up!
It’s because MCU puts out several films
Per year
As a math guy, the graph of MCU on the bottom nearly resembles an exponential curve although the rate of growth did slow down recently..
Why wasn't Back to the Future included in this?
Did the 'Rocky' series include the 3 'Creed' movies?
I take it these dollar amounts include initial release, DVD sales, syndication, streaming, etc. throughout the world?
Anyone know why X-Men and Spiderman were separated out from the MCU list?

While number two and number three were not that great. Surprised Smokey and The Bandit didn’t get anywhere on this chart.
Pirates of the Caribbean made 4.5 billion and Disney bailed on Depp.if I was a Disney stock holder I wouldn't be confident.
7:26 I'm surprised Jurassic Park didn't jump up like 5 spots?, Jurassic World was the 3rd highest grossing film when it came out.
Fo all of the Disney movies next pls 😊
I wonder; should Blade, Spider-Man(both Sam Raimi 3logy and TASM duology), and all now count towards MCU?
Can you please make the top 10 Turkish Tiktok channels?🥺🇹🇷
so the Mission: Impossible franchise didn’t make the cut?
Seems a little thin in the early years. What about The Godfather, and all those slasher series in the 70's and 80s?

Nah it’s right. Most of those films you mentioned are in the 2-4B range which is outside the top 15
do the same but minus the 'known' production and advertising budgets
Monsterverse?!?!
didnt the despicable me franchise make like, 5 billion dolars with 5 movies?
Minions are also up there i think
I've never heard of "Sherk".
Sherk
Kinofilme seit 25 Jahren: Alter Wein in neuen Schläuchen.
All western movies ❤🔥
Monsterverse😢 please you are making monsterverse movies videos
There were about 10 Godzilla movies by 1974. Stupid list.

The totals are accurate even if it’s shown weird
