This has some similarities to something I was playing around with and I like that turn over move because it offers a variation if I wanted to change things up. 🎉
Beautiful solution. Just a note: Stewart James had a similar plot with very exacting conditions called 51 Faces North. It is closely related to the Open Prediction but, you might want to look at Stewart James's conditions Sean.
It's been a while since i learnt this turn over shuffle. I think i got it from a Harry Lorraine book. Haven't used it for ages, might have to start again with this trick. Nice one. 👍
Hey Sean! Will you be doing a tutorial for the sandwich trick you call “banana sandwich”?? I love that sandwich trick and would love if you could make a tutorial for it!
Great trick! Just my opinion, but if you're good at palming the card via a DPS or similar moves, you let them choose a card at random, put the card back in the middle of the deck (steal), then let them shuffle. Then when they hand the deck back to you, you put their card at the bottom and continue.
I thought of a version of This trick where u first force a card then get it to the bottom then make the spectator find the card . I think that would get them more.
Great solution. How about the following solution? Simply a marked deck. The spectator names a card, the rest is as you demonstrate. The marked deck does the rest for you.
@@SeanDevine Thanks. I've never seen the reverse of the bottom card while overhand shuffling. I have a crazy one handed method to reverse a card, but I'm now going to do the overhand shuffle instead. I love seeing sleights I've never known and put them in the back of my brain for later.
I like this plot but I can say this is not the best trick to capture/surprise your audience 😐...They forget very quickly the trick and if you ask some days later about that ...they cannot reconstruct the effect...so...this is in my opinion not a good astonishing trick for lay people...anyway I like the plot very much....Thank you ...anyway Thank you to Ed Marlo
I might disagree (this a a wonderful plot) but a slight wording change might leave a stronger impression. Maybe frame it as: "In a minute I'm going to test your free will. Now, deal face up & try _not_ to turn over the 2 of hearts. Are you sure that's not the 2H? Did you resist my influence? Let's check..." After the reveal, for a kicker you could add " Now what is really going to curdle your brain will be not how I influenced you but how I knew where the card was in the deck _you_ shuffled." (Accidental call back, there, to the Oracle scene in the Matrix.)
Wonderful answer to the plot! Love love it. Simple and direct. No unnecessary moves. So good.

*there has to be a way to subterfuge-flip that second upside-down card, I've been trying a few ways and I believe it is possible*
@@raccoon874 please share any success you find!
