I had your problem is my 370Z. I only have 35% tint, but I solved the problem. The solution is pretty easy and will make you smack your head. I like you was about to remove it, but I noticed driving under overpass the mirror would brighten. I point the camera lower toward the trunk and adjusted the field on the mirror. Problem solved. In short if the camera isn't pointed down in a car with tint, it messes with the light sensor on the camera.
Ok that makes sense. Noted for next time if I try one of these smart mirrors again. Essentially it's just giving it more exposure? But alright man appreciate it. This will atleast be handy if i just get a dumb smart rearview camera atleast.
No I agree it was definitely weird to get used to and I started to get used to it but still not fully to my liking. Every car and person is different. I saw someone with the same car as me and they liked theirs, but for me it's too dark. Maybe it's my eyes.
Goodness! The best buy guy recommended this one to me... "PASS!". Thanks for your time and conciderations... Now looking at the Viofo 329 with HDR and 60fps. It's checking all the boxes! 😊

@BrandonDevs It does both, it bumps brightness and exposure depending on how much light hits the camera
@BrandonDevs One thing is did find a bad design was that the light sensor should also be on the mirror. Most cars have oem light sensors on the dash.
You need to install the camera outside
Thanks for the review. Is the Wolfbox G840S on Amazon essentially the same product with different branding?
Glad it helped. Looks very similar, if not, the same product.
