I'm amazed to see you guys bringing in P38a offroading. Even living with 3 P38a and RRC. I would still use a Toyota based truck for our jungles. You have my respect. Out of curiosity. The P38a, what is modified? Or they are practically stock with only coil spring conversions? Are they v8s or 2.5dse? My fear with them are the electronics and it doesn't help that all the transfer case ecu, body ecu and engine ecu is under the drivers seat haha. As for the ford raptor. Just curious if you are still on a single or double battery setup? I reckon your raptor is pretty capable. Just needs a gigglepin and lots of batteries haha.
The P38 is stock with modified spring conversions only. Also ARB lockers installed. And yes they are V8. And you’re right during most water crossings the biggest concern is getting water into the ECU. Happened couple of times. Lucking drying it out in the sun helped. As for the raptor. It has a 2inch lift kit, 35in tires and thats it. And 12000lbs Bull 4x4 winch. Currently still on 1 battery setup, but seriously considering a dual battery setup in the future.
Appreciate the replies. Coz I still have a spare p38 which I don't know what to do... The pragmatic side says stick with a Toyota haha.. But P38a looks sexy on Instagram. Wow arb airlockers. Managed to use the factory air suspension air compressor? Or using arb air compressors? Need to upgrade to ashcroft chromoly axles? Coz I heard the factory axles are really weak. Running front and rear air lockers? Coz I heard 1 locker won't work too effectively due to the viscous coupling centre diff. What tyres on the P38a? 35s? Suspension lift or both suspension and body lift plus grinder? I'm currently on a bearmarch spring conversion kit. Wow. 1 battery with the raptor with such a heavy pull. I heard that to run twin battery setup. Apparently you need a smart isolator due to the special alternator setup on the raptor. It's nice to see my 2 favourite trucks in action. Only time where you get to see a raptor wheeled hard is on 4wd 24 7.. But yet in Malaysia documented on video.
The P38 is using compressor from ASLI 4X4. It works fine. Still using original axle with a suspension lift. Using teflon to raise the suspension by 7inches. Centre diff is quite tricky on the P38. If you lose either front or rear driveshaft, you completely lose power to all wheels. On other landrovers, centre diff can be replaced with difflocks. Not sure about the P38 tho. As for the raptor, yes initially had some issues with overvolting and burning the fuse on the alternator. Had to always bring spare fuse. However it was just because the winch was short-circuiting because the entire winch bracket was twisting when under load and caused the cable to touch the car body. Steel plate was added to further strengthen and no issues after that. However the battery will last not too long. Barely a year and a bit.
Probably should have change the winching point higher so it pulled you up rather than into the rut coming up. Lesser strain on the winch, winch rope & vehicle. Also might consider upgrading to RCV’s so you can wheel harder without breaking your CV’s
Your're feeling that you know a lot. Raptors are the best off-roader here. In my province in north region of Philippines Raptors are the Idols in Off-roading. With only a minimal upgrade such as wheels and tires only, they are ready to roll right from factory. And the 1st generation 2nd batch, and the all new raptor are very reliable.. As reliable if not more reliable than any other brands such as Isuzu Dmax and Toyota Hilux.
there's a reason why we call it LC. kena pakai LC atau Pajero or small jelopy. hardcore dia ni. jangan kemain. yang part patah balik tu, tu baru very 1st obstacle. ada beberapa part memang pikap apatah lagi Raptor takkan lepas. kita panggil batu kapit.
Kurang sesuai la boss, klu raptor masuk hard core off-road. Banyak kerja Dan risiko spare parts raptor Mahal dengan full sensor LG. Memang jahanam kereta ni.
Nice video, many thanks for sharing. Could you please add detailed information about dimension of the tires and rims? Did you had to change something in order to fit 35“ tires?
its 35" badak extreme trekker tires. The rim is 0 offset so it seats flush with the bodyline. All I did is 2in leveling kit on the suspension. Everthing else is stock.
hi, you've been pushing the car for a long time. Is it constantly causing problems? Do I have to go off road 4 hours a week and go to the car mechanic 4 days? Does it always cost money? Or is it a durable car?
To be honest its been quite durable. Compared to other cars in the convoy, it has the least problems. Only had to change the steering rack sensor once and it was covered by warranty.
Raptor tu ni lebar sgt xleh ikut track hutan. Terkepit tayar. So selalu tayar akan tembak terkeluar dari rim. Biasanya angin lebih sikit ni kurang risiko sikit.
I think that this truck cannot withstand this extreme mud ride off road.It only show that this truck has a certain limitation when it come to off roading. That kind of terrain is not passabe by any kind of off road pick up truck this is insane, a very dangerous terrain.
There's two sorts of people I see who own a raptor. 1 for lifestyle and another to push it to the fullest! Respect to you bro!
Very good driving and amazing car. Don’t stand near the cable it can severely hurt someone if it snaps. Have a good day!

This is not a pick up this is a submarine!! 😁😁😁

Yg padu tu winch system je padu, klu xbawak winch mmg sangkut la situ Raptor ni dlm hutan.
Porque ya no suben videos, ¿dejo de funcionar la camioneta?
Hardcore offroad like this is a no no for raptor, but kudos for giving it a go. You really got a ball mate

Hahha tu la dgr ramai kena driveshaft kt situ especially pikap. Saja gamble tgk lepas ke tak.

@@MoosaaYoung Thank you so much. I am assuming the tire size is 315x70x17“ or 325x70x17“? It looks very good on the Raptor. 👍
@@newbiesenior4941 its 35x10.5x16 or 265x90x16
terkenang memori 10 tahun dulu.. first 4x4 jambori lata cermin
Pretty challenging terrain
mmg gler2 la bang, respect :)

plastik beg biru tu biar peranyut je ke dlm sungai dok amik buang leklok? semua buat dek je....dok soh masuk hutan kalo nok buang sampoh gituu je....
Setuju. Kagum dengan @matt off road recovery. Tempat depa tak nampak pun sampah
Jenis x ingat org belakang.. Spisis mcm ni org belakang payah nk lulus permit
Sapo kato ford lembik. Padu bohhh.
Raptor je padu sbb harga 200k ke atas,Ford biasa mmg dilahirkan lembik,ex ford user
Ford xleh lawan rocky lgi...ford barang tak tahan
Yg mengata ford ni mesti bwk myvi kan?
No issues with the raptor ?
Just needed extra deep cleaning. Only damaged the winch from overworking.
Let us see a video on you cleaning this vehicle
sori bro saya rasa angin tayar tu ke kurangkan lagi supaya lebih grip pada permukaan tanah .,.......

@@MoosaaYoung masuk offroad tayar kena pakai tiub baru angin boleh di kurangkan. Tubeless x bagus utk offroad
@@KatipangBaragas-lq1wi mmg dh pakai tube. Itu pn penuh lg lumpur masuk dlm tayar. Cara terbaik pakai beadlock, tp tulah ssh nk cari
Shout out to the guy elbow deep in the mud

😂OK dim sim!
Very extreme off road testing

This truck is not design for this kind of extreme condition of the road, very cruel off road!!
Ford ranger raptor standar tidak durancang untuk offroad extrem, hanya cocok untuk overland.
