These guys are amazing . They put their lives on line every day so we can have power . They have utmost respect . Thank you Lineman , for all you do y'all are unspoken heroes . .🥰🥰🥰🥰
I work on the 750KV lines. Nothing's scarier than knowing that you could die from the electricity, but that's a risk we take every day. Some people dislike their electricity shut off when we work on our equipment, so we do it while the wire is live. Some people purposely damage our equipment. Sometimes our equipment gets shot during hunting season.I'm thankful that people respect that we risk our lives for the sake of their electricity. Making choices out on the field is like crossing the street. You have to know when to cross the street so you wouldn't get hit. But for the electricity, you have to know what will happen if you don't make the right decision, or you'll get hit by an arc.
I got the opportunity to flag and grunt for a couple of linemen back last year' during a new power line gig in livingstonTennessee for 5 months. I took part in digging the holes setting the poles tamping. Shoveling. Putting together the cutouts and brackets. If they needed a lock nut or a hard head or a goat head a 1 bolt was always popular. Climbing up and down them trucks was sure tough for my 5'2 frame.. bit I did it. And I'm so proud of myself for getting thru the bad days and mornings when I was so sore and tired from the day before. Now i just keep myself in the inventory room. I have much respect for these brave men
I'm a linemen. Honestly I don't know why there is so much prestige in the industry. It is hard and it is dangerous, but we all do it for the money. It's a job like any other.
This video would be so much better if the guy kept narrating it. It was absolutely bad ass while he did. Seems a big boss had to get her 30 seconds of fame in and take over....
