The opening cinematic this song was in gets me so hyped, DBZ is so hot right now again and I can't wait for Budokai Tenkaichi 4!

You can say that about every budokai game, even the songs that are blantly plagiarized in the first 3 budokais are too good for me to care that much.

this game and budokai tenkaichi 2 are full of earworms. "Lonesome wild" "awake" and "lost courage" are my personal favorite.

These are also some of my favorites, along with Open Wings, Crisis, Go Ahead, Fly High, Escape to Freedom, Battalion Unchained, and Belief of Steel. So many amazing songs.

Morning dew is for me the best Dragon Ball Game MUSIC!
Bottom left is Trunks, Vegetas son that he has with Bulma, and bottom right is Goten, Goku and Chi Chi's other son. The blonde haired woman is Android 18. Vegeta, Goku, Trunks and Goten have golden hair because they've become a Super Saiyan.
I messed up saying blonde hair, when I meant I haven't seen Vegeta "in that outfit" lol

This is pretty much in line with what the anime's soundtrack is like. There are some theme songs with lyrics as well, but this is pretty much the opening song to the game. It's a common thing for anime to have a tv size version( usually around 1 minute and thirty seconds) of a song that's performed by a band chosen to represent a specific arc(or number of episodes).

DBZ is always about pure adrenaline, and this was one of the best games to put all of my pent up aggression into as a teenager haha. A shame that we didn't get this vocalized version for the intro movie in the west, but the instrumental still got me pumped af
The games got the title backwards
It's based off the tournament in the series "Tenkaichi Budokai" or basically "Number one Strongest under the Heavens tournament"
DBZ VGM always goes crazy, I'm kinda suprised it took this long to get another request up. The Budokai and Tenkaichi series have so many bangers.
I probably played Tenkaichi 3 the most, I had the Wii version and using the motion controls to use the super attacks was a lot of fun. A lot of my childhood years were filled with Smash Bros and DBZ games lol

So basically, the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai series is a series of 2.5D fighting game, and the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series is a series of 3D arena fighting games.

Imo the instrumental version is so much better than the vocal version because it has more layers of guitar in it. DBZ games in the 2000s were all about wailing guitar!

Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT have both English and Japanese soundtracks. Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super just use the Japanese music with a few English localized vocal songs.

Non-fighting Dragon Ball games are very uncommon. It's kind of the point of the series.
If you ever want to get into Dragon Ball, it's best to start by just reading the manga. There's barely a release of the anime that is THE definitive way to watch it. Mostly because the publishers suck at preserving old footage and don't understand how to remaster it properly.
And MY preferred way to watch it, DBZ Kai, skips the original Dragon Ball portion of the story so it's just incomplete either way.
Getting told to read the manga might sound boring, but honestly, the manga is so well made it's crazy. It's not the deepest story in the world or anything, but the pages are so well thought out that it's REALLY hard to not just get sucked into it and read more than you wanted to.
@@JomaXZ But watching the anime is infinitely more exciting. Watch DB first and watch Kai after. Especially starting with Z the battles and dialogue become much much more interesting when they're physically animated.

Got most of the characters right.
Every character is their "Buu Saga" version which is the final saga of Dragon Ball Z. For context Goku is around his mid 30s a this time.
Goku is in the center and then from left to right from the top its Vegeta and Piccolo, both former enemies turned allies. Middle row is Krillin and his wife 18 with whom he settled down with, had a child and grew out his hair. Then bottom row are Trunks and Goten, Vegeta and Goku's youngest children at the time.
Great game, enormous roster I can imagine how massive tenkaichi 4 will be when it gets here thanks for sharing 👍
