Thanks for the review, especially the pros and cons. I'm almost ready to redo my home office, and I'm torn between the Autonomous and Uplift corner desks. That was an interesting point on the durability of the desk tops, and definitely a little disappointing to hear. The Uplift is a few hundred more, but with the choice of laminate instead of wood, and the current freebies and discounts, I'm leaning toward the Uplift. For this kind of money, you want something that holds up and looks good for a while.

Glad it was helpful! After having the Autonomous for almost 2 years, I would say this: the long term durability has been impressive. Yes, there were minor visible marks from initial use, but I would say that after 2 years of daily use + being disabled/assembled multiple times, the marks are still the same as they were, very minor. So while I’d say my initial impression on its’ durability was a bit underwhelming, in the long run I’ve been super impressed. I’ve never owned an Uplift but I’m pretty sure they’re lighter than the Autonomous designs, so it might feel a little less sturdy at the trade off of being easier to maneuver. I do love the laminate options that Uplift provides - is it worth it for the extra couple hundred? I’ll let you decide 😁 cheers

Hey Ron - the dimensions the desk takes up against a wall is 77" x 64". Autonomous has the full specs here which probably will give a better picture than me! www.autonomous.ai/standing-desks/l-shaped-smartdesk
