@TrainLifeGB well apparently all 387/1s are coming back to southern or roughly 30. Id imagine thata way more than enough for them to be used in london too. You know what it also means? The potential for a 9 car OHLE train with a 5 car 377 and a 4 car 387 on route to watford if southern ever think about it. Theres room for so much variation here.
Nice one, saw 387129 at Eastleigh on Tuesday, with all the 387/2s, 377s and 387/1s on the BTN - SOU line everything is much more interesting now!
Yep, though these were seen with thameslink on the BML, 7 years ago. These still wear the same livery they had when built. Very worn down.
@TrainLifeGB Yep they do look a bit dirty!
For everyone that keeps saying they should paint the 387s, southern on X said that they will not be painted.
I like how it still has the pantograph
I saw this unit go through merstham guarry line last week coupled to a ex GWR unit
the old Thameslink fleet of Class 387/1s need the Southern green paint
They Need The Southern Livery!
Southern livery isn't exactly the best though. They should do the GN style light blue doors and white. THAT would look really cool!!
What service headcode was this? :) 1N something something
@@TheBritishAce it was the 1N36 1343 Brighton to Southampton Central service
Class 377/6?
377/6 where...exactly? There's a 377/3 and a 387/1
Wait someone please tell me its going to be a southern train and not a extra capacityGX southern service add on?!! Thatll be jarring😅
50/50 to be honest.
