Details:
Five Air National Guard wings are conducting agile combat training during Operation Hoodoo Sea along the southeast U.S. coast.
The exercise, led by the Virginia ANG, seeks to test and validate minimum force elements using multi-capable Airmen executing functions across job specialties and multiple platforms.
Airmen support the F-22, KC-135, C-17 and strategic bomber aircraft active in the exercise.
Each participating unit is testing innovations in agile secure communications, portable aerospace ground equipment and aircraft concealment and survival kits. Additional support for the exercise is provided by two Air Force Reserve wings, the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and other government agencies.
“Airmen with experience working one subset of tasks will be asked to see how they can integrate on different tasks in austere environments,” said Lt. Col. Lawrence Dietrich, 149th Fighter Squadron commander and exercise commander. “At the end of the exercise, if a KC-135 crew chief is taking a post-mission intelligence report from an F-22 pilot and disseminating threat location to a displaced, over-the-horizon bomber force, while a C-17 loadmaster is helping to execute a combat turn on an F-22, then we are exceeding our expectations for this exercise.”
Another goal of the exercise is to test and validate minimum force elements using multi-capable Airmen, making it possible to scale down a deployment by over 90% of the typical personnel and equipment footprint.
“We’re testing a new ladder that collapses and stows inside the F-22 cockpit,” said Dietrich, who is also an F-22 instructor pilot. “This reduces forward staging requirement of equipment and people for ingress and egress of the cockpit to zero.”
Multiple agencies are simulating an enemy capable of collecting and exploiting unencrypted digital signatures. Radio frequency countermeasures are being tested and Airmen are being evaluated on their ability to use counter-human intelligence techniques.
“I am very pleased with the support we are receiving from all levels of government and our partners across the total force,” said Dietrich. “We’re looking forward to improving our skills and the lessons our Airmen will bring back to their units, ultimately making our Air Force a more lethal and agile force.”
Hoodoo Sea is one of many terms to describe the western Atlantic, bound by the Bermuda Triangle extending from Florida to Puerto Rico.
“It’s a fitting title since one of the objectives of our exercise is to make adversary teams lose track of our aircraft while conducting operations in and around the Bermuda Triangle,” said Dietrich.
The exercise included the Puerto Rico Air National Guard's 156th Wing, the Missouri Air Guard's 131st Bomb Wing, the North Carolina Air Guard's 145th Airlift Wing, Ohio's 121st Air Refueling Wing and the Virginia Air Guard's 192nd Wing.
Additional support for the exercise came from the 307th Bomb Wing, Louisiana Air Force Reserve; NAS Key West, U.S. Navy, Florida; the 482nd Fighter Wing, Air Force Reserve, Homestead, Florida; and the U.S. Coast Guard 7th District, Miami, Florida.

That unrestricted climb by the F-22 was spectacular.
Thank you for uploading that jewel of a video.
Thanks for your support
I have the pleasure of working around military aircraft. Being around F-22s is absolutely my favorite. Their power and maneuverability is simply amazing!!
Thanks for showing the crowd - I always like seeing them enthusiastic about aviation!
Viva Puerto Rico
Very nice catch !!
The power of the F-22 raptor when taking off vertically .... Amazing 🇺🇸
Thanksssss
I grew up less than a mile from there. I watch every afternoon the free airshow from A-7 Corsairs in early 1980s and the f-16 in 1990s. Now is just C-130's
Outstanding absolutely Outstanding
The power of the F-22 raptor when taking off vertically .... Amazing🇵🇷
I knew when he kept those after burners lit so long he was going vertical! Amazing!
Very marvellous sight of the cool and stealthy F-22A Raptor 😎😃👍
An unrestricted climb in PR by the best fighters in the world (so far), gave me goosebumps.
My aviation career was sparked by an F-16 on final approach flying over the Teodoro Moscoso, without touching down, next thing I saw was an unrestricted climb, this was in 1995.
Thank you for sharing, this was a great clip.
Thanks 🙏 for watching
Amazing video camcorder 📹 📽️ ♥️ ✈️ n F/A-22 Raptors 🇺🇸♥️♥️✈️✈️♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸🔥🔥👌🏾👌🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks
Hey! Air Force airman here, got to see an f35, f16, f15, f22, f5, apache, black hawk, c5, c17, c130, and all sorts of other aircraft in my time in the military so far...
What about the F-14 Tom Cat
@raulinazario9462 unfortunately not that... mostly air force aircraft... the f14 was a carrier based aircraft with the swept wing configuration so it could get extra lift while launching from a carrier...
That's its absolutely awesome. The last time I saw a similar maximum performance climb like that on rwy 8 was when the PRANG flew the F-104 Starfighters.
Thanks for that data brother.
You are correct.
Those Starfighters did those unrestricted climbs sometimes.
F22’s have a nice howl like the F4 when they start up. It’s similar to hearing a Vulcan tearing the air into submission.
Amazing catches bud. Amazing to watch
Thanks man for all your help alwayd very apreciated
@@HRPlanespotter 😁👌
Getting to ride the R model 135 is amazing. Just pure acceleration.
Thanks for uploading this.
Brutal mano! Gracias por compartir!
Graciassss
Forgive me for almost thinking that this is a DCS video. Your stellar camerawork is so stable that it almost seems like a DCS POV mode. Truly enjoyed the video btw.
Thanks brother
That was awesome they gave the spectators a little taste of what those raptors can do.
Ahhhh, I know that FF on the tail. I watch them fly everyday from my house. They are from Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. Part of the 1st Fighter Wing. Good stuff.

That was incredible. I hope there's more.
Great footage!!!
Amazing 💪🏽
Gracias man
PR, the “TJ” of the USA.

How could I ever miss them, living here on the island.
Wow, nice❤
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
i would be completely unsurprised if the iridium coating was just cosmetic, it looks so cool
the gold is soooo beautiful contrasted against the gray
The most lethal fighter in the world and our geniuses in Washington are going to phase it out.
Thanks for the video and the channel. Why were they in PR? Was POTUS on another trip to the USVI?
@@danielh1708 Tongue in cheek comments are not your forte. F-15Cs from the Oregon ANG Came to PR last Dec/Jan in part because of POTUS visit to the USVI.
I work at Eglin AFB, these are flying every day here
BadAss
The F-22 is nearly ten years old. I doubt if it can compete with the Su-75, just out.
Now , bring the F-35 and we are done!!!
🇺🇲🇵🇷🙏🏼❤️💯
😃
Has this jet even been in combat yet I'm kind of curious
We NEED new fighters for the PR Air National Guard, not just permutations of the C-130.
PRNG has a bad history of being bias and criminally negligent towards their enlisted members.
Well PRNG AND PR AIR NG HAS A HISTORY OF NOT BEING COMPETITIVE OR EFFICIENT ON THEIR LAST AIR PLANES MAINTENANCE. LOOK AT THE UH72 2011 ACCIDENT THE C 130 ACCCIDENT ON 2018, also the pr air ng in the 1981 never did a good security plan on their muñiz air base, to avoid any attacks from the socialist groups, the lack of base security, lead to 7 corsairs A7 lost due to the macheteros who infiltrated the lousy security and planted explosive therefore detonating them later, and got away with it. And last but not least, in the 90s the pr air national guard didnt pass usaf insoections therefore losing their 12 F16 Fighters, by 2000 changing the mission to support with c130s. The prng and air guard cant be trusted with such valuables fighters.
They were given 2 chances at it and their CO blew so they ended with the C130’s. It’s going to take a miracle for them to get the 16’s back. Sad because PRANG is in a very strategic location too.
@@skylane1829 YOURE RIGHT ITS GOING TO TAKE A BIG MIRACLE FOR THE US AIR FORCE TO GIVE THEM BACK THE F16s. FURTHERMORE THE PRNG HAS MANY HISTORIES OF ( NG ) NO GO IN MANY AREAS, OF PROFICIENCY. STILL REMEMBER TO THIS DAY HOW THE HIGHER COMMAND OF PRNG SENT SOLDIERS TO IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN WITHOUT THE BEING READY OR QUALIFIED, WHICH THAT'S WHY MANY DIDN'T CAME BACK , DYING ON HEALTH ISSUES AND NOT COMBAT RELATED. AS I RECALLED ONE SOLDIER BEING OVERWEIGHT AND WITH SERIOUS HEALTH CONDITIONS WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE DEPLOY AND STILL WENT AND DIE IN IRAQ OF HEART PROBLEMS. LAST BUT NOT LEAST MANY PRNG SOLDIERS BACK THEN AND EVEN KNOW CHEAT ON THEIR APFT OR PT TEST. THE US ARMY RESERVE IN PR HAS CHANGE A LOT BUT ALMOST WAS THE SAME AS THE PRNG BACK IN THE 90s AND 2000, DOSNT KNOW ABOUT NOW.
PR is an american territory you guys will be protected
Jummmmm
I own one in my garage.
oh shit
When was this recorded?

@@nataliacartagenagonzalez9837 are they gonna still stay until tomorrow or did it left already?
They are already gone unfortunately we wanted more

@@HRPlanespotter Muchas gracias!
if theres a hole theres a goal
That’s Carolina Airport not SJ.
We all know that the airport is located in Carolina, Puerto Rico. But unfortunately the airport is called SJU. That is why in the videos it is called SJ Airport. 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
@@nataliacartagenagonzalez9837 We all know that the Luis Muñoz Marín Internacional Airport is located in Carolina as well as Isla Verde, Piñones and Bebo’s BBQ. So dale pichón.
I rest my case.
Why are these fighter Jets in Puerto Rico??
It was all part of a practice between Puerto Rico and Homestead.
Most lethal lol 1 confirmed kill an unmanned balloon lol
That we know if but if I have said it all?
Thanks

SU57 is more Lethal.... SU57 can carry more diverse set of weapons and carry out more diverse missions.
This your opinion not my
@@HRPlanespotter Good answer 😁
Is more lethal in papers
LOL, the Su-57 has a larger RCS, its avionics are ancient in comparison, its less powerful, and it hasn’t even shown the ability to shoot its guns or air to air missiles in flight. India backed out of the partnership with Russia to develop for numerous reasons, including its lack of stealth features and its poor engines. The Su-57 pales in comparison. It’s why Russia has struggled to find any outside customers to buy it.
And who says the Su-57 can carry a more diverse set of weapons? Unlike the Su-57, the F-22 has seen plenty of combat over Syria.
@@Thetequilashooter1 dude you don't have a clue what you're talking about. The F22 is ancient compared to the SU57. Dude there's footage of the SU57 firing it's missiles.. Look it up. Dude the SU57 has engaged in real combat in Ukraine while the F22 has only shot down a cheap balloon. The SU57 uses AI and its avionics are newer than the F22s 1980s avionics.
The SU57 is a far more capable platform and can carry a far more diverse array of weapons. Read about it instead of being in Denial.
Puerto Rico were I was born I'm Rican 💯 we got good fighter that start at 7 to learn about it in groups I was in one in the group with green suits age 20 up you learn the control
