    G,day mate enjoyed my coffee watching you explore this place , shit the tin everywhere , bloody wind must have been something fiercely strong , and the exposed mud bricks standing up to weather better than one would think unless its not rain there since that storm , beautiful even though its now looks a tip, but then again some people let there backyards get worse than this living in town

      That old roof tin is gold to put under old car bodies & stuff general to keep the flames & wet weeds away

    Mate that was awesome, another piece of history slowly returning from where it came

      Thanks, a few more years without a roof and will surely be disappearing I reckon. Glad you enjoyed it.

    Most farms in Australia are virtually outdoor museums. An old rusty shed over there with equally rusty tractors, trucks or other farm machinery parked near, or inside of them. An old house just down the road from where the owners current house now sits........and two or three old utes or LandCruisers. Sometimes, the most interesting things is what you find near them:- an old Fanta bottle or newspaper that's decades old (if undercover).
    Our history should never be forgotten.

      Yes I agree, hopefully I can show many folks these things that don’t get the opportunity to go see these things or inspire some to get out and do it.

    Far out a box of tex screws 2 blokes and a ladder you could put a useable roof back on most of the house again , most tin was still ok , cos nails rattled loose in wind , and beams trusses looked workable too

    Im looking at building a mud brick cottage the roof beams and tin would be great to reuse.

    What were the shrubs in rows at 11.58 and a bit earlier? The rows (of bushes/trees?) seem to be in good condition, do you know what they are? just wondering what would be cultivated in that way out there?

    • @ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide
      @ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The current owners of the property have planted large amounts of native trees and done so in rows .

      @@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide Wow, ok good job, was expecting olive trees or similar but native are good. They may be eucalyptus for eucalyptus oil? I used to distill Eucalyptus oil for a living back in the 70's and Yakka Gum crushing (from the Yakka or Grass tree) on the weekends.
