- Frank Pinello has eaten his share of pizza in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but it's time for him to check out New York City's other boroughs-Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx-to discover some of the city's best slices and pies. We start off in Queens with our favorite Renaissance man Action Bronson for a slice tour of two of his favorite places.
Then we're off to Staten Island with VICE security guard and foodie extraordinaire Vic Zagami to get some crispy bar pies and the legendary vodka pie at Goodfella's. The episode ends with a visit to the Bronx for a walk down Arthur Avenue with Mark Iacono, Frank's favorite pizza friend. Frank and Mark's walk is filled with fresh cheese, prosciutto, clams, tripe-and, of course, more pizza.

Being a pizza guy was the best job I’ve ever had. I genuinely miss having my regulars orders half made by the time they get to the door, so many customers asked me personally to make their pizza because the other guys just weren’t the same. 6 years later and people all over town still call me the pizza guy when I bump into customers

Just gotta say, of all of Frank's friends (Frank is awesome, we all know, but can't be said enough), my fave is Mark. Dude is a great compliment to Frank. A bit more snarky than Frank, but still got that awesome humility and people skills like Frank. A great duo. Love that he's been in multiple episodes.

Being a pizza guy for 20+ years, the business and employee end killed it for me but every time I watch one of your episodes, I want to jump right back into it. The passion and the pride is what gets me. Some people just live and die pizza in their bones. So thankful to the Bronx family in business 40yrs now in Syracuse , NY that taught me.

I love Frank and I love Action...I gotta' admit, this episode really made the entire series. Frank is such a genuine human being, full of love and admiration for humanity and pizza. This might be the 10th time I watched this episode, and I'm now planning a trip around the spots for later this year (2023) with a few friends.

I think this is it... the best Pizza Show episode. Bronson entertaining as always, Vice security guy, recurring icon Mark, lots of traveling around NYC.
This is the NY I remember, everyone knows each other, it’s so alive. Wouldn’t be that way without the cultures all coming together. That seems as close to heaven. It’s wild it’s not like this many other places on earth. I hope NY never loses this.
I'm honestly so jealous that I didn't get to experience growing up in the Burroughs of NYC. I know I'll never truly understand it but I feel like I can experience it through the screen sometimes. It just seems like on any given day you can just be walking down the street and see the craziest shit that you couldn't make up even if you tried. There are so many wild characters and personalities from NY. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest which I'm sure has its own advantages and unique qualities that people from NY will never truly understand but man does it seem like NY would be a fun place to grow up. If you grew up there it probably just feels normal to you but where I'm from we don't have any of this stuff. I know it can't be all awesome and that everything has pros and cons but goddamn the sense of adventure just looks fucking cool.

I don't know how many times I've looked up episodes of Munches, but you guys are so lucky to eat these fantastically delicious pizzas. Here in Korea, so many things have developed and it has a cosmopolitan character, but one pizza is really garbage. With the exception of a few high-street pizzerias, most pizzerias sell factory-made, perfectly circular dough with a few toppings for around $20. The pepperoni pizza also sells too expensive without even adding a few slices of pepperoni. The important thing is that Pizzaiola does not make the dough itself, but uses the dough made by the factory. It tastes like garbage. Or the taste of melted plastic. You don't know how much I envy you.
Germany has the same problem. We also don't have diners or something remotely related to that, which isn't a kebab place.
