      Don’t worry my friend.. you doing good work , but with a very bad kit ( for my opinion the revell’s kits are unacceptable ) and a not good choice body paints . Try with zero paint or gravity paints for the body ( with the same primer and the same clear finish) .

    Your not the only hobbyist on TH-cam;who has had a "happy little accident" this week!.Just recently,Chris of HPI Guys Workshop did a full build review;of Revell U.S.A's highly anticipated, Plymouth AAR Cuda in 1:25 scale.He did a two tone paint job on the body;Testors Model Master Go Mango Laquer,and Rust-Oluem flat black for the hood,top of the fender panels,and the top of the doors up to the front of the passenger windows.Some how dust landed in the flat black paint while it was still wet;and it ruined the finish.
    So he had to place the hood in some simple green;to strip it down all the way to the white plastic,and repaint it.He had to repeat this process;not once,but three times.
    At the end of the video,when he shows the end result of the completed kit,the color of the hood does not match the color on the tops of the fender panels.
    So you are not the only one who makes mistakes when it comes to plastic models I.E.,nobody's perfect;we are only human.Even Chris admits that he does not super detail his model cars and trucks;he just builds them straight out of the box,and has fun doing it.He says if you spend more time trying to make a plastic model car or a 1:18 scale diecast collectible look like the real thing,that is when it stops being a fun hobby.
    As the late land scape artist,Bob Ross once said:"In the world of art,there are no mistakes;...just happy little accidents".

    Not bad for your first, shiny paint can be a challenge, it's taken me a long time to get it right, learn from it and on to the next one, I built the Mercedes also, nice kit, :) Tom

    Alex, regardless of the outcome (which, in my opinion, is still a great job) I really enjoy watching your builds as you always provide such pertinent advice to your viewers.....as you said....the good, the bad and the ugly. You don't shy away from challenges nor letting us know the good parts and pitfalls of your builds.....this is why I come back to you each time as I learn so much from what you do. You are a true artist!!!!

    Alex, I love your videos. Do not feel bad about your paint problem. I had to paint the hood of our real 1/1 scale rally car 4 times because the flat black kept blushing in streaks of gray! Found out later it was the humidity. That car had intricate stripes of red and orange on a yellow car! Much harder to remove and repaint on a full-size car! ......................LOL

  • @mathiastrum4582
    @mathiastrum4582 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oh i understand your Problem so much. Yesterday i have the same. But i took it to a box with oven cleaner for 24 hours and it works nice. After 24h the paint go off nicly with a tooth brush and warm water. My Problem was the paint himself i think. But in the end i don't really know. Maybe it was the paint in comparison with my airbrush technique. But now i will try Tamiya Spraycans. Maybe it works better. But at the end of the day we have learned a lot and make it better next time. That is the magic of Modell making. See ya. And your Modell still looks good. 👍
