This is by far the very best review I've seen on this collection! Thank you for actually taking the time to thoroughly try the products before sharing them. I've seen so many reviews immediately dismiss these pigments due to fallout and not understanding how these refined pigments actually work! I bought the entire collection from my SA aside from the blushes almost two weeks ago.. and have just been waiting for someone trustworthy to review them. Thank you for being that someone! I was afraid they would be too dark for my fair skin but now know for certain that should not be a concern. I have all four Byzance quads as well and cannot wait to see how you decide to apply them! You are the definition of sophistication, and your beauty is just stunning. Again.. many thanks! ❤😘🥰
Hi, Catherine! Thank you so much for this lovely comment. I completely understand why so many creators rush to show the new stuff and even try the makeup for the first time on the camera, but I don't have that kind of mad makeup skills 😅nor do I think it is fair to the viewers. After trying these loose eyeshadows a few more times, I have come to think this short nubby tip is not meant for blending but rather a tool to get the pigment out of the bottle. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I mine! So far, I am also loving the Byzance collection although there are mixed reviews out there. Hope to share a video very soon. Thanks again! 🥰

🍂🍁 Oooohhh I like this collection... especially the loose pigments!! I'm tempted to get that blush for the imprint & box alone!! Funny...I keep all my makeup in their original boxes except things like mascara or liners. And I keep all my Chanel in a large Chanel box...away from lesser fancy brands 🤣🤣🤣

Many people keep the boxes and it is actually a better way to store them if you have enough space. I might start doing it myself but for now, I label my palettes and put all the cardboard boxes in the recycle. LOL. I hear this collection is very limited in quantity but at least it is great that today we saw it popping up at almost all major retailers!

Great review Lena! I love learning how you use your shadows and you give me tips on eye looks. I’m likely going to pick up 2-3 more of the loose pigments. Agree with you that the coco bloom colors don’t seem to fit the collection. The two I bought were very cool toned and prefer the Fall 2022 rouge allure lipstick releases. Enjoying your videos!❤

Thank you for your review! I ❤ the eye look you created. It’s really one of the best ones that I’ve seen thus far using these loose pigments. I was going to purchase all three shades but just wanted to review the videos I’ve watched previously and while I was watching yours again I realized that I can recreate this look using the myth palette from Lisa Eldridge. It’s not a 100% match but close enough. However, I will buy this blush and the coco bloom in the shade Wild to complete the look. I also have the cassis eyeliner. I would also like to get the other blush as it is a unique colour but I already have sooo many that I purchased this year so I think I’ll just pick up these two products. Thanks again! J.
Thank you so much! Glad you like the makeup look I created 😍 The eye look is definitely something you can dupe using the Myth palette, so getting both blushes sounds like a very good idea. I think both are so unique and beautiful! Cassis eyeliner is my all-time fave ☺
So stunning! I love the idea of pigments. That dark color looks exactly like that cream pot Noir Contrast, or even the single 58 Pourpre Brun (it’s lighter than the cream), so I don’t need that one (phew!), but I will get the lightest shade and the brown one (and maybe Acacia?). Hi, Janine! Thank you 🥰 I am not familiar with the colors you mentioned but it makes a lot of sense Chanel makes some of their popular shades in different formats. As I mentioned, it is a bit fussy but it comes with certain merits. Do try them if you spot the colors you like 🥰
What a beautiful look Lena! I love the shades you chose. I did get both Sycomore and Acacia and also the mauve blush. I am thrilled with them and am particularly in love with the blush. Hi, Robin! You picked up some beautiful colors there. Acacia would be my next choice. Love everything in this collection seems to have a unique nuance to the color. I heard the highlighters would be available in late August after the 19th. These things are so inconsistent these days but I will update when I hear something!

I purchased the same eye pigment colors you did and was hesitant to even start using them because of all the poor reviews I kept seeing about the fallout and such. I’m glad I found your video, I think that you explained and used the pigments in such a way that is very user friendly and I can’t wait to create this eye look for myself.

At this point, I don't necessarily think the sponge tip is designed to "apply & blend with" but to get the eyeshadow out from the bottle, if that makes sense. I am thinking Chanel would have made it with a longer wand if it was meant to be used for blending, etc. These are very beautiful shades. Enjoy yours! 😀
Agreed! I did go to the Chanel website to read the description and it mentions that built in sponge applicator is to make it easy to use on the go. This explains why this loose pigment packaging is different from most loose pigments. I’m also going to use my fingers to blend them out once I’ve placed the pigments on my lids and see what happens. 😊

Thank you for the review Lena! Which blush do you prefer: the new from Dior or this one from Chanel?
My pleasure! If you mean the new Dior Grand Bal Satin blush (LE), I can't pick my fave between these two 😅 I suspect the Chanel Corail shade has some similarity to the Dior but the Mauve shade I picked up is quite different. Also, the Dior has this beautiful visible sheen to the finish, but the new Chanel blush has a more subtle finish (soft matte blurring finish with a hint of radiance). I hope this helps you to make your choice! ☺
Beautiful Lena! Not sure my thoughts on all the packaging - loved that you mentioned and I too appreciate the tie in and thoughtfulness of the theme (great catch, truly makes it cohesive and wonderful to see the company put so much effort to detail and attention) and as you're probably sick of hearing but I'm always yearning for more purple/plum/moody shades so this is nice to see!
Some of the designs look more clunky/juvenline/cheap in my opinion (I'm talking about the eyeshadow packaging in this case, its not horrible and I don't mean to sound harsh but so many luxury brands are trying to chase younger demographics while losing themselves and their essence and appeal) so I'm a bit nervous and hope Chanel doesn't go this way.
The quality and colors themselves look great and promising that the formula is lasting - the Murier Noir shade looks exactly what I've been trying to find and thanks for the Cassis eyeliner recommendation, so excited to try. Fantastic overview and analysis, always so helpful and unique!
Thank you! I think the eyeshadow container was designed kind of "chonky" 😅 to minimize the fallout but the bottle itself isn't too bad. If you're familiar with the Rouge Allure Laque, it is very much the same design but round. Quite weighty as well (made of glass). Hope this one looks okay when you see it in person cause what is in the bottle is pretty good not to mention these are the color you really love!
@@lenallure Good to hear, perhaps won't be as noticeable/as "feared" in person, nice its glass and of course I can't miss this color - finally! It really suits your complexion too by the way, this was a great sample of the release and can't wait for your Byzante review - oh plus if you ever overview the perfumes in your collection (I see them peaking out in the background), that might be an excellent video in the future if you haven't done so already!
