I found a dupe for the charlotte tilbury quad!!! I use it everyday, and i almost like it better. The oryza champagne shimmer quad is my everyday eye look!!!!

Yeah it sold out relatively quickly (i think in the beginning of december they already sold out) which ia a bit surprising since it was such a blast and the brand still decided not to restock it

I don't think that the Mary Jane palette got very good overall reviews but those swatches look nice and pigmented.

I have an honest question, do you really go through all that make-up? Or do you store it til next year for re-use? I really don't wear makeup all that much and I'm just curious because I have 6 palettes that were gifted to me and not sure how long they will last...

No, TH-camrs get so much PR + their own stuff, that they can't use it all up. 😅
Palettes have a printed expiration date on the back btwn 12-24 mos. Whether that expiration actually occurs (weird smells, lower performance, change in texture, etc.) or is just a premature liability protection depends on the formula, how u store/maintain the palette, and whether u use fingers vs brushes (oils, possible bacteria over time). So maybe a palette will be fine in 4 yrs or actually expire as it is stated.
With frequent use, a person can maybe (~maybe~) use up 1-2 frequently used shades (often transition shades) in 1 yr if they only have 1 palette. It's unlikely all shades in a 9-14 pan palette will get used up tho.
So with infrequent use and 6 palettes, I doubt u will hit pan on any within 24 mos. That being said, most eyeshadow lovers know this but buy palettes bc they love certain colors, color stories, themes, or quality.
I am not sure why u got so many palettes, but u could use this as a nice opportunity to figure out which shades, formulas, and packaging u like most. Then if u really don't like some, u can pass them on to better homes.

Look at those Oden's Eye swatches. This is why I don't buy high end quads. $53 for 4 Charlotte Tilbury shades? That Oden's Eye palette sold for $44, I believe. You can't convince me that CT is worth it.

Grunge is not this. This was my youth. We didn’t wear eyeshadow. We just used a lot of black eyeliner all around the eye. We didn’t blend. Please stop using the term grunge. It’s more emo or even goth. Grunge wasn’t about the makeup. We barely wore makeup back then.

I’m also a 90’s kid and in my experience when a beauty TH-camr says grunge when talking about a color story or creating a “grungy” look they are more talking about the colors being more murky. Usually the colors pull more mustard or olive then warm or cool. To me it would be more accurate to describe the color palette as olive or something just like they do warm, cool or neutral- they do this with base products. Again in base products olive undertone get overlooked often. For some reason in palettes it’s been decided to call it “grungy”.
