This was so helpful to me Kevin. I’ve had my Shapeoko 43 months and I’m ready to tackle this beautiful project. Thanks so much for spending time and also special thanks for sharing the zip file. If there’s a way I could repay you I would suggest you move from California to Texas. I checked this morning and a sheet of 1/2 inch MDF is $47

Thanks Don. Hit us up on Instagram when you finish your project. I'd love to see your version. And, yes, costs for MDF and everything are astounding.

For the offset alignment, u could use center on each other instead of doing manually.

There are definitely a few different ways to attack the alignments. Some of them are not exactly centered on one another. For instance, the top (red) layer and the next (black) layer are center horizontally but not vertically. Centering them on one another vertically will not give the alignment needed for the remaining space at the top of the black layer which contains the Green and White stripes.

how long before the Ferrari Cease and desist letters come in. this is a company that sues for taking a picture of "their" car with shoes or painting/wrapping a car in a way they don't like. best of luck.

Could you share what feeds and speeds you used for your mdf tool path?

Hey Cameron, if you want to bounce over to cut rocket you can have a look at the whole file. cutrocket.com/p/60d9faafa45c4/
The download is free. Plus there are a bunch of other great projects on there.

30 bucks for a sheet of MDF? *Cries in Canada
$66 at the box store the other day. Prices are still nuts, even for mdf.

Eric. Sorry it takes so many Loonies and Toonies for MDF. In my experience here in the States, the big box shop prices are far above that of a cabinet supply shop. Additionally, the quality and selection of MDF is lower at any orange or blue and yellow store. See if you can find a cabinet supply shop in the land of Maple Leafs that can offer you a better deal. Perhaps we can cut down on your tears.

Nice project, but I think you missed the fact that a significant percentage of Shapeoko users are entry level into the CNC world where many of them have difficulties just adjusting their eccentric nuts. and you totally lost them at the start with using illustrator. This definitely is a project for advanced users and should be flagged as such.
