Hey guys just a reminder that i’m out of town next week so the earliest i can start uploading act iii will be thursday. And yeah i’m still crying over that ending 😭😭
If it makes you feel any better to have company, Ella Purnell asked Christian Linke "What's wrong with you? Why did you write that?" in the Arcane Afterglow episode for Act 2.
That was basically my word-for-word reaction too as soon as they showed us Isha's happy memories with Jinx; "no, don't you f'kin do it, no, no, oh f'k, f'k you" Her finger-guns to Jinx absolutely wreck me every time.😭
the positive i take from ths episode is this - throughout the episode, Isha is shown *caring* for Vander/Warwick : standing in front of him when he freaked out, giving him water and food whilst Vi and Jinx were bonding. at the end, Vander noticed her below him and, with a look of anguish, started to attack. Isha meets his eye and smiles as she pulls the trigger. she was trying to end his pain as well. as they say, there is beauty in tragedy.
What makes the Victor-Jayce thing more morally confusing was that Victor wasn't healing people, he was sustaining them and he knew that his power was waning.
If Isha is dead it will break Jinx. The very first thing Jinx told her was "You feel that? That buzzing behind your eyes? Because you know at any moment it could all POOW... best feeling in the world kid." Jinx taught her not to be afraid of death and she will feel so guilty about it
Theory time: when Jayce, Ekko, and Himmerdinger had that weird trippy multiple thems moment, it's kinda like seeing the future, right? And how that cog at the end is the same as the beginning? Viktor knew it was going to happen... there's some time travel shenanigans going on here. I think Viktor told Jayce to kill him, and that's what Jayce says he won't fail at. I think there will be some things that get undone, Vander, Isha, Viktor, I think they'll be back.
I think Victor truly thought he was doing good, but he was corrupted and was spreading the corruption. Jace saw a glimpse of the future and knew he had to stop his friend before it was too late.
Oh, the amount of hate Jayce is getting after this episode😂 I mean, he might have been right, but his timing to do the supposedly right thing was the worst lol.
To be fair, I don't think Vander/Warwick going berserk was Jayce's fault. Quite a bit of time passed between him killing Viktor and Vander changing. It's entirely possible that Singed used the serum on him after Jinx, Vi, Cailyn and Isha left. As far as I can tell, he should still have been in there.
@@midnight1672 They actually show us that Singed used the serum. During Victor's monologue when he says "humanity" the cut-scene is of Singed standing in the building Vander was in ...
You know what the success rate of an academy student is? 3%... They keep trying until they get it right. So, thank you Ms. Medarda, but Jayce has a city to run.
The wild card at the end of this episode is that Isha basically sets off a hextech overload in a place where the boundary between the world and the arcane is likely quite thin. That opens up some possibilities, though perhaps not any actual hope.
Just imagine ladies and gentlemen, just imagine -- what if we actually spent two entire hours getting to know the puppy in John Wick right before they killed it. That's what this show is. It's absolutely brilliant. And we're all absolutely stupid. What I just wrote was literally in the pitch meeting, and you have to decide how that makes you feel. Great show though, fantastic.
They didn't give Vander back, they introduced Warwick with just enough of Vander to give some backstory and reunite Vi and Jinx, the rest is our own feelings/imagination ...
Because money. It was not a sustainable project, because Riot has nothing to sell, and Netflix only gave the show 3 million dollar per episode (probably less for season 1), when it cost almost half a billion $ to make. Happy news is that Riot bought 60% of Fortiche studio making these series, so I guess something is coming in the future, probably cheaper and not Arcane.
@sneakerjuice1856 they did say they would do a series on other parts of Runeterra. But that worries me on the budget side of things. The stakes are high because of Arcane's success and they can't disappoint and that's what worries me the most
@@gizmo-7q They can make cheaper projects work, like the Castlevania style of animation (1 Arcane episode is worth more than a season of Castlevania), just because of the brand they have built with Arcane, but you will never see a better or as good animation than the current show.
@@sneakerjuice1856 What are you on about ? As far as I know the reason for only 2 seasons is that the story was 2 seasons, and that comes from the makers of Arcane. Yes, the show itself was always gonna lose money, but Riot games has been making super expensive cinematics, music videos and stadium events that almost all lost money as a way to promote/advertise their game(s). They make (a shitload of) money with games. "when it cost almost half a billion $ to make" ... really ? Or do you just like to exaggerate ? Because 250 million is the number that gets thrown around and apparently 60 million of that was for marketing, which would leave 190 million for 18 episodes of top tier animations ... that doesn't seem all that expensive in today's market ...
I won't believe anyone died until I see a body. And even then, Vander looked like a dead body and then he was alive! Well, kind of. Anyway, I'm happily residing in delululand for now, can recommend!
Teasers show Jinx wearing a cloak and Isha's warpaint and she's looking dead inside. Unless Ekko and Heimerdinger can pull some deus ex, timey-whimey machina, Isha will live on in our hearts.
Viktor was not healing them. They were lifeless as they are not shown with breath or eating food in the community like the rest of the characters are. Also, have you noticed a pattern? Every parent-child combo ends with one dying and the other evolving (Vi & Vander, Powder & Vander, Jinx & Silco, Cait & Cassandra, Singed & Orianna, Jinx & Isha, except Mel & Ambessa yet), and the “siblings” combo always push each other to their very best (Vander & Silco, Vi & Powder, Jayce & Viktor, Vi & Cait, Jinx & Sevika). I think Isha’s death is going to put those voices back in Jinx’s head and make her step up against Ambessa & Noxus
My opinions on Jayce changed drastically because WHY did he choose as the first target of attack the ONLY place that used hextec for good and not greed, knowing full well that Ambessa is weaponizing this (and he even build super weapons for the Cayt squad) . IDK, it's just a very suspicious choice Jayce
The writer and VA's had a talk in the latest Arcane Afterglow and they mentioned the death of the characters, and it was only Isha being mentioned, and not Viktor or Vander (who has plot armor)... so I guess shes dead.
I'm not sure... it is only about Act 2. I doubt they can/would spoil anything more than what we've seen in regards to Isha. That cliffhanger is so much worse than the S1 finale IMO, so I can't blame them for wanting to ham it up over the week.
Its about humanity/emotions Viktor are reflecting about, lets pick Singed by example. His love for his daughter (insipiration) is the cause of all of his evil. Caitlyn as well, her compassion turned on rage, etc... Spoiler bellow Viktor despise humanity on the game, so its a little weird see he doing this, thats was a good setup for what he'll become
This episode was the most peacefull and beautiful.. A hope for Jinx's redemption, a hope for Vander, Vi and Powder, and also Isha become familly again.. A hope for Catelyn's redeption... A hope for a full happy end... End then *spoiler end ep6** ** ** In a few minutes... Viktor die. Vander die. Isha die. And I don't think Powder can survive to that. Now I truly belive Chris Linke (showrunner) hates Jinx, he said the point of Isha's death is to prove that Jinx is doomed to lose everyone she cares about, but that was already proved at the end of s1, with Jinx losing Vi and Silco. Plus, in a act 1 interview, there was question about if they think Jinx is just a monster, and Chris was like "yeah, that sums her chara" 🙄

Perfectly fine. You'll need time to recover from this anyway.
If it makes you feel better Isha was likely vaporised so wouldn't have felt a thing.
Jinx finally being happy and healthy for 0.1 sec.
