I was absolutely amazed by Sophie and the entire Castle band when I saw their performance, it's so sad that such talent was lost, just like that. Especially after performing at grand nats finals.
You know, it's hard to imagine that someone you have never met can impact your life in a matter of days, and I never thought someone could, but Sophie has had such an incredible impact on my life in ways I never thought possible. When someone who shares the same passions as you, someone who is so similar to you is lost, you realize how valuable life is and truly why you do music, and she helped me discover that. When I heard her voice I fell in love, and when I heard of her passing I fell apart, but I know that the impact she has had on the entire band community will live on and inspire so many people. Sophie, you're truly beautiful in every way and even though we will all miss you so dearly, God has gained a wonderful angel. Thank you for everything. -Caldwell County Band of Pride

My family got to witness her beautiful performance and they loved it so much. They told me about it after I was home from band. On Sunday they told me the news of what happened and I send my best wishes out to everyone who loved and cared this wonderful girl. She will be missed. So tragic, our band wore ribbons on this day for a band student whose mom passed away 3 days prior to us competing here, when they heard this news they wore blue for this beautiful and talented young woman during our parade in her honor. To see everyone come together for someone that shares this passion was a beautiful testament to what being a band family is. God bless

I was at the band competition with my school band and i heard her voice and it was so calming and i loved her . I remember hearing the news when we returned from the competition back to our school the next week and our band director said he had a announcement and he looked at the class and told us and we all got really sad and i started tearing up . I didnt know her personally but regardless band is band and when someone dies in such a tragic way its heartbreaking for everyone in band espically marching band. That was the best competition of my life . I still rememeber her to this day and i always will . R.I.P Sophie , you are missed❤️
