Loving this project. Whole video was great. Awesome Results, cant wait to see it on the road when its ready. and hopefully see this beauty in person. Catch you on the highway :)
hey eli, think you forgot a gasket on the thermostat housing cover, also glad you cleaned the hole, it is a must!, same with waterpump hole. good work, glad people are saving these
It is great to see you doing build back to your origins--I am sure this going to be one of your best will all the experience that you have to date. Hoping you are going to do a color change though.
Some really good progress. While you work on it I can imagine the previous owner parking it for the last time, looking back and thinking, “I wonder when it will get its makeover?” And here it is, new life breathed into it. 🙌
Next time you do the crack pipe, use some silicone lubricant spray. It will help slide in, and that is want the dealership does and repair manual says.
Nice work, but should've left the breaks original blue. Other than that, I like your videos. I started watching your videos when you had the high mileage RS4. I owned a MK4 R32 but unfortunately I lost her to SUPER STORM SANDY in NYC in 2012. Hopefully, one day, I'll pick up an MK4 or MK5 R32. I am looking forward to the next video.
If it was hard to compress calipers until you opened bleeder, that means you have a restriction. Replace the rubber hoses going to the calipers.
watching a wookie get saved has me so pumped for April
Good on you, for saving another MK5, Eli.
I see a new video from Eli, I click. I'm excited to watch the R32 project come to life!
Glad you’re here, homie!

Watching this as I procrastinate putting my Alltrack back together. New core support and radiator going in tonight🫠

I did that - it was the corrosion on the lip that was preventing it!
He said Nut on the back 😂😂😂
I believe the MK5 timing chains are a lot better than the MK4's, and will last a good while.

Blue doesn’t work with red, it’s ugly haha. Also did you see how they were mostly silver? They were cooked!
