I played venture for one season and climbed from gold to diamond. It would be great but I literally cant play any other dps to diamond level so Im stuck playing venture every godam game

I love how someone points out how TheDucktor could be a clever pun about the common term "quack doctor" and not only does my goat admit that it's not smart wordplay, but also confesses he didn't even think up it himself and it's just something he stole from a TV show. That and wearing the Platinum Damage title with pride, what a humble menace. I'm ngl I am also boosted by Venture so bias here but considering he only played like 10 hours every other season and he played 80 this season and it's not even over yet, he realistically did improve at the game just an absurd amount. I feel like if Venture was really that much of a crutch you would see more than 6 of them pop up in the Top100 like Venture as 3rd most played in 11th, 1st most played in 38th, 1st 41st, 2nd 45th, 1st 46th and 3rd 50th seems reasonable. Will have to watch TheDucktor's career with great interest
Venture's projecticle should be harder to hit and it should crit. I feel the hero does not feel rewarding to play at all. All of their abilities pretty much autohit and give free shields for nothing.

@@MRPINK-st4pm nah theres a difference. i hate hitscan just as much as the next sane person, but venture not only requires 0 mechanical skill, but is completely braindead. terrible design all round, feels terrible to play and AWFUL to play against.

I dunno why high ranked players always think they're the only one capable of improving or doing good. Bro found a character that's right for him, plays the fuck out of them, and improves. This shit happens on every character. And if venture is some crutch why arent troves of people climbing higher than they should be? Why isn't venture broken? Just seems flimsy and tbh rude as hell to basically call someone in your exact rank a cheat
For you to be high ranked, you need to have game sense. Plat players do not have game sense nor will they get it in a season. Venture bypasses most learning curves such as positioning (dig), easy to aim with (splash damage + gigantic hit box), high damage, hp regen on ability use…. Soooooo anyways, not because no one else can improve but rather no one can improve that quickly. Especially if he has 600 hours and has been in plat for majority of it.
@@xiaoqili7860 people definitely can. ive personally coached someone who rose from plat to high masters in half a season, then were gm by the end of it. with the right push people can 100% climb that quick, ive seen it happen to plenty of people. also, you pretty much just described reaper. can you tell me why he isnt considered a crutch?

I think venture is broken atm, not terribly so, but a bit. I agree with your argument tho.
