Just stumbled across this video that has some more specific details about how the Marketplace worked in the last Beta Test. Reaction to the Marketplace is near the end. th-cam.com/video/Xme6Oef58xU/w-d-xo.html
AH wasn't the actual d3 issue, the actual issue was the extremely low drop rates, especially when you consider what you need item for your only class out of all 5 classes. So defeating bosses for gearing is not even an option.
As someone who can only afford a few games a year, I'll stop paying for XBox PC Gamepass and spend the money on an MMO subscription instead if it was worth playing. But even when I spend money on games like this, I don't find it fun like the fun I have from earning things and having armor and cosmetics telling people around me what I've achieved in the game. I remember getting my level 60 Samurai class armor in Final Fantasy XI when it first released on PC in the US, and other players acting like those of us who had it were gods. Armor and items told you where people were in the game and everyone was always very nice and helpful. I played Black Desert for about a year or so, and it didn't scratch any itch that MMO's used to scratch. It felt like a mobile game sometimes with how pointless some things felt. It just feels like they add as much trash as possible t lure as many people into the game, and then the focus is usually on whatever makes them the most money through player retention an competition. I'd rather just give them 10 or 20 bucks a month and have a game that is trying to impress me with a fun and cohesive game.
Skills mean a lot more than gear in this game, the difference between the same green, blue, purple and gold skills is night and day. Gear will give you more stats but skills are the bread and butter. Levelling your skills will be key to winning fights and battles not so much gear, you have to level every skill you have including off hands skills and all passive skills separately, trust me skills in this game is king. It's will be months before you even level a quarter of your skills. Twelves days and i'll be back in the game, whoo hoo.
A p2w game must have a high f2p friendliness to exist, especially if it has an economy. Money ---> Premium ---> Earnable Currency ---> Auction House - High p2w and Moderate-High f2p friendliness. Money ---> Premium Earnable Currency ---> Auction House - High p2w and High f2p friendliness. Money ---> Premium ---> Auction house ---> Very high p2w and VERY low f2p friendliness.
Title should say : "We know nothing much about it but let`s talk about it" 🤣 Why don`t You make a game and run it for free ? We should wait and see for ourselves how will be... will be free so we lose nothing if we try instead of speculating...
I'm interested in Throne & Liberty doing well, so I am going to talk about issues that I think could stop it from being successful globally. I don't really lose anything by speculating about the different ways it could effect the games systems.
This is exactly what I say in the video. No need to be rude. 5:51 “the diffirence in power between Legendary or Ascended weapons and Exotic weapons in Guild Wars 2 is only about 5%”
They should just synce everyone's stats and level during pvp encounters. This is done in ff14, so that a level 30 player can duel a level 90 on an even playing field.
And that's why PvP in final fantasy doesn't work. Tbh it never should've been implemented in 14 period, 11 had 0 PvP of any kind and its still going strong on PC servers. The point of PvP is competition. What you're suggesting is not competition friendly at all its catering to players who cry and whine about not having the same as someone who put in effort to build their char to be able to compete in PvP.
@@josephtidwell4845 When you level the playing field, the rest is up to skills. If you're a level 90 getting spanked by a level 40, maybe it's a skill issue. And what effort are you talking about. Gearing in ff isn't even difficult. If they didn't synce everyone's level then the lower level players wouldn't be able to do pvp until they reach endgame. Then what? Only endgame players get to pvp? Ppl just automatically get shit on because they haven't reached the latest expansion? Come on, now. Beating another player just because you're 30 levels above them is lame af, dude.
A Korean game with Pay to Win go figure, say it isn't so! I knew from the start that it was going to be this way! T& L is a Hell NO for me, which is sad because it looks cool!
i loved the d3 rmah made a bad game worth playing in the hopes you made money. if i cant turn the lucent into money and transfer it to my paypal its pretty worthless.
Frankly ... It's not pay to win unless you can buy items from the dev ... Otherwise it's the exact same as any other MMO where a black market exists where you can use money to buy gold then purchase with that gold on the AH

Gotta say, buying your games will always be cheaper than paying monthly for a service. Its about price per year not price per month.

my gf got 550 from one item and got the premium pass for free.
in gw2 ascended has EXACTLY same stats as legendary. get your facts right. exotic gear is ~5% worse than ascended/legendary items.

You're what's wrong with pvp.
Lmfao no this is dumb af if everyone is being scaled how does that make someone want to progress for being the best?

I know you guys are gonna support this game dev by going the hardcore P2W route.
Ofc they are. 90% of every fing MMOs playerbase utilizes the P2W when possible because they don't want to play the game at all.
This game is going to have P2W systems on top of more P2W systems, we all know it's gonna happen 😂
solid video!

thats the reason you should be happy if you can make money in game this is owsome
You can't make real money. Only in-game currency.
@@TriptychGaming i bet you can players will find a way
@GymForLifeHD sounds like you're apart of the problem then P2W trash player like 90% of players are in these games.
@@TriptychGamingso this game can't sell currency by player to player?

Do you even understand what P2W is??? Bruh it does NOT matter if it's from the devs themselves or 3rd party it doesn't matter its P2W period.
@@josephtidwell4845 nope it's the same as people using 3rd party gold purchases
I have 0 faith in amazon. Like with Aion I will wait for private server.
Why Amazon? Aren't you more worried about ncsoft and Korean game style? Oh wait you mentioned Aion private servers...
faith in amazon?!this is nothing with amazon, everything coming from nc soft, only what amazon can do remove p2win elements for western market!
If a game is made by koreans.. Stay away.
