The new camera is definitely better! The exposure was just a little too high on this video but I can't imagine how hard it must be with white dresses lol.
I like the way you didn't show the dresses before trying them on. Honestly it's usually hard to really see it anyways since the camera shot is pretty close up, and the garmets are so large. The part though that I did really like from that time though was seeing the material and quality close up. So if you could do some close up shots of you wearing it, and showing any flaws or things to take note of. Also I love that you had Mama Maples in the room to react, I want her there for all your try ons!!!
New camera: Very good, I like it a lot. I liked when you brought the dresses up close so we could see details. Mama Maples judging is always a good idea. I didnt mind the format of just getting into the dress, I like the product picture on screen at the same time as it on you too. Being able to see the picture next to the real thing is helpful. Love love love the charity idea and I’m excited to keep supporting and see what charities get drawn!
As someone who has Crohn’s disease for 7 years, I pick “Crohn’s & Colitis foundation” . It’s still not widely known but there are more and more people with this disease so I would love that Organisations get the donations for doing the needed research. As there’s still no cure and it’s for a lifetime when you are diagnosed with it.
Mia, seeing as you do a lot of wedding dress hauls like this one, there are charity organisations around the world that turn donated wedding dresses into clothing and blankets for stillborn babies to be burried in. As someone in Australia who works in specialised maternity where stillbirths happen. It means a lot to the parents to receive clothing and blankets from these charities for their babies during such a difficult time. Please consider donating your wedding dresses to 'Angel dresses Canada'.
My organisation of choice is Coral Gardeners, they are an amazing organisation that help restore coral reefs. I also wanted to say thank you for your kindness and for making such good use of your platform. You are a hero Mia
Mia’s comment ran out of comment space so I will just say it here I would want the charity of choice to be any cancer research BUT the coral gardeners sound so helpful as well

We're raised like little hypocrites! xD To your face we'll frame it nicely and give you a good grade... but once your back is turned and the cameras are off? We will RIP. YOU. APART. 😂😂 There's a reason they chose a canadian girl to play Regina George in Mean Girls.. 😉 ("Omg I love that, where did you get it?!") It restores a bit of balance to the universe, y'know? It's how it works in Canada. If a "nice canadian" person starts talking trash with you, you know you've established trust. ❤ You are bound in friendship by your mutual secrets. Like how you REALLY FEEL about that dress... lol
Hi, Mia! I like when you show the pieces of clothing before putting them on because then I can see the details. Like, I couldn't really see the pearls and sequins on the second dress until you got up close to the camera. Thank you for trying new things and seeing if we like it better, though :) and you're awesome for donating $500 per charity and wanting your subscribers to chose the charities :) HEART. OF. GOLD.
Mia, you are truly one of the biggest lights on this website. You are such a joy and we can all tell what a huge, warm heart you have. You give hope when there's so much turmoil and drama happening. This charity thing is sososo incredible and you are so generous and compassionate. Thank you so much 😭😭

I don’t know what wedding anniversary mom and dad maples are celebrating this year but I vote we make it a party and get to see mama maples try on dresses. Heck let’s throw them vow renewals so we can all be witness to the best couple ever!
Awww Mia...it’s so awesome that you’re taking this step to donate $500 to charity in every video. Your parents did a wonderful job raising you 💕 This is going to have a wonderful chain reaction of encouraging your viewers to make a positive impact on the world as well. You’re a good egg!
My charity of choice is Reece’s Rainbow. They help find families for unwanted/neglected children internationally with Down syndrome and other special needs. It breaks my heart how these children are just given up. 💔 The people in these countries deem them as “not good/fit enough” to live amongst them. The children are thrown into orphanages where they live in a crib, and nobody gives them the attention and love that they need. 😢
I loved everything about this video. The camera, the donation, mama maple as the judge and also the element of surprise as to not show us the dress before you put it on. 10/10
Mia if you want to make it easier to access the charities, do a survey monkey survey or something where you just ask for their name and charity of choice and maybe a ‘why’ section, then you’ll have the data all compiled already. That would be way easier.

New camera looks great! Loved being able to see the details of the dresses up close. Having your mom judge the dresses alongside you was also great. Never hurts to have a second option. With that said, I think you were showing the dress more to your mom than the camera. We didn’t really get to see the back of the dresses. But again, love the new quality!
The only thing that i have to say is that i REALLY like when you film yourself reacting also to the unboxing. Its a nice "expectations vs reality" for me hahaha
I would really like to submit Campabilities Saratoga as a charity. It is a summer camp for kids with blind and visual impairments. Kids get the opportunity to paddle board, ride horses, swim and so may other things they may otherwise never have the chance to do. The camp is no cost to the kids or their families and as they are a fairly small, local group, they are always looking for donations!! Thank you so much for doing this!
The comments are off on your pinned comment.. But I’d still like to leave my charity too.. My charity of choice is “Families for Hope” My daughter has a rare brain condition called, “Lobar Holoprosencephaly” This condition CAN be genetic, but in many cases (such as my daughters) It is not genetic. Families for hope does a lot of research on figuring out why these kids are being born with this rare brain condition. They also help out families when their child is at the end of their life. This organization is located in many countries around the world including Canada!
Loved the wide angle! Especially when you put on heels! So good to see the entire dress hanging properly. But most of all, as a girl who loves her mom as much as you do.... LOVED HAVING MAMA MAPLES IN THE ROOM! Reminds me of shopping for my wedding dress with my mama, and all the countless other times she has been with me to try on clothes. Love this format! 🥰🇨🇦
I feel like I was just thinking how Mia looked extra pretty and thought maybe even saw some cute freckles and 2 mins later she mentions her new camera. I guess the better quality shows her beauty better!!
Love you Mia but I totally prefer this to you showing each item before trying it on! Getting right into it makes more sense to me and better paces the video.
The wide lense kinda loses the details of the dresses. I didn't even see the sequins and pearls on the 2nd one until you came close. Maybe a charity for animal shelters since they were hit quite a bit cause of the global panini.

love the new camera! But also loved your pre judge before the try on. But it's not a thing I would badly miss. Mama Maples is always a welcome guest! I just love you both together
Weird the puffy dress didn't have boning for structure in the bodice. If the back is the biggest problem you could put boning under fabric casings for an exposed corset look. Would help with the structure but seems like it's only worth it if you really love it. I'm sure a tailor could even add internal boning as well if as exposed look isn't wanted.
I would like to nominate the charity: Special Effect, the gamer's charity. They provide custom gaming setups for people living with disablity so they can play and connect like everyone else ❤ Thank you so much Mia ❤
I've donated for the last 35 years to St Jude's Children's research hospital in Memphis Tennessee. And I just think helping and saving children is the ultimate.
Hey, as a Brit, I get you on a heatwave that makes most people say "you don't know what hot is". It's what we are and aren't used to. Hot to us is cool to others and cold to those same people is fine to us. Also, I like that you got straight in to it without showing the dresses first.
I'm from Malaysia went to UK for my masters 2019/20. And let me tell you, the heat are just different both are super hot. I remember when I was in Portsmouth, I told my sister that summer there was very hot. But instead she said 'if it' s not 30°C it's not hot. And i was like 'you don't know how hot it is here'
I kind of like not having the dress intro's, but I kind of missed having the close-up of details that it often gives. So I really appreciated when you went close to the camera. And the new camera seems a bit more monotone in color, but also clearer.
You`re such a blessing to this world Mia. The energy you radiate and how grounded and thankful you are for all you have achieved and wanting to give back. Should be an example to other youtubers.
Just a couple notes, Mia: Donating to charities is such a wonderful idea 🤝 The camera quality / wide angle lens is nice, but be careful when you come closer to the camera, because then the sound gets muffled. Lol, pleaseeeee wear shoes when you try on the dresses! It completes the look ;) And as a side note, when it comes to bridal gown shopping (if you can afford it for you wedding) please shop small business boutiques. (They may even have gowns on clearance.) I worked for a bridal store for a few years, and the owner herself was the seamstress. As a small business owner, she has so much passion for what she does, and [so long as the brides are nice! Lol] she is more than willing to find ways to help cut some costs if you’re on a budget, or to change the gown to make it perfect for you. (Add sleeves? Change the shape of the neckline? Make it strapless? You name it, she can do it!) Or if you absolutely must buy a $60 FashonNova dress for your wedding, at least take it to a small business seamstress for alterations to make it look 😘👌
I love the wide angle with your new camera! & I love that mama maples was in this video too. Like how you REALLY FEEL about that dress... lol
@@katymaloney Am Canadian, can confirm 🤣♥️
Thank you so much 😭😭
Moon Time Sisters - Based in Ontario, this organization partners with Northern Indigenous communities in Ontario, Quebec, Nunavut and NWT to supply people with free period products. Products in these communities are usually VERY expensive to purchase in stores.
i appreciate so much how mia puts the profits back into her work and towards charities it makes me feel so much better to not just enjoy her n her content but also what she’s doing n making it interactive too!!!!
I don’t know what wedding anniversary mom and dad maples are celebrating this year but I vote we make it a party and get to see mama maples try on dresses. Heck let’s throw them vow renewals so we can all be witness to the best couple ever!

I love how Mama Maples genuinely liking something sounds exactly the same as me when I’m lying about genuinely liking something lol.
Just a suggestion: when trying on white pieces turn down the brightness alittle so we can see it better
I love how Mia is so considerate and always thinking of a way to give back to us, its so lovable
I loved everything about this video. The camera, the donation, mama maple as the judge and also the element of surprise as to not show us the dress before you put it on. 10/10
VIDEO IDEA. Mama maples and mia maples go thrifting, they then upscale the times and design them however they want then ship them out to subscribers
Sounds like an amazing idea!
I second this
So…you just want them to send you something 🤣🤣🤣
Yessss
Mia if you want to make it easier to access the charities, do a survey monkey survey or something where you just ask for their name and charity of choice and maybe a ‘why’ section, then you’ll have the data all compiled already. That would be way easier.
“It’s boiling. It’s like 30 degrees out.”
Australia: That’s cute.
Also Australian: it’s so cold! It’s 20 degrees! Get me 7 jumpers!
💜🇦🇺
I'm an American. For us 30 degrees is below freezing XD
In Arizona we just had a “heat wave” that knocked out so many people’s AC, tires popped everywhere on the freeway and cars broken down. It was 120f for us I wish our heat wave was 86f lol
@@shadowk670 Holy cow!!!! At least Arizona isn't humid. I'm correct in that it doesn't get very humid. I'm from the midwest where the humidity can be awful.
Lol - 5 degrees isn't even that bad in the uk
@@evelynmater8773 we measure our temp in Fahrenheit not Celsius, when she said 30° she meant Celsius, which is like 86° in the US
I really missed seeing you "jumping into the dresses" in this video. Please don't stop doing that. Those jump cuts were so fun 😭💔
Can’t answer your comment about charities, so here’s my suggestion: “Malaria consortiums seasonal malaria chemoprevention program”. It’s one of the most effective ways of saving lives through charity. By the way! I LOVE this idea Mia! You are such an inspiration by doing this!! 💕
Omg the first dress is very much giving me Bella Swan’s wedding dress vibes w the long sleeves, lace, and open back! Gorg!
You are genuinely such a kind person, it makes me love your videos even more, thankyou for helping people who are less fortunate than us
You are literally such a good human. We need more of you in this world. And you look so beautiful in this video!!
Charity: Frosted Faces. They rescue older dogs from shelters and gives them all the medical care and love they need for the rest of their lives
okay but can we talk about how freaking gorgeous she looked in the first 2 dresses!!! the shape was just perfect for her! also Mia, if you see this you could donate to charities supporting Palestinians like iF charity or Palestine child relief fund!
Love how grounded and generous Mia is. She’ll always have my views!
I think you need to post this as a reply to her pinned comment ❤
That third dress is giving me major Björk swan dress vibes! If it wasn’t so ridiculously expensive, it would be fun to modify it into a swan. 🦢
The comments are off on your pinned comment..
But I’d still like to leave my charity too..
My charity of choice is “Families for Hope”
My daughter has a rare brain condition called, “Lobar Holoprosencephaly” This condition CAN be genetic, but in many cases (such as my daughters) It is not genetic. Families for hope does a lot of research on figuring out why these kids are being born with this rare brain condition. They also help out families when their child is at the end of their life. I hope you will consider this charity as it is very near and dear to my heart! ilysm Mia!🤍
Hi! I just wanted to say that I think to be elegible you need to respond to the comment she marked! Have a great day!
@@isatequierolove the comments on her pinned comment are turned off for some reason which is why she was not able to comment her choice for a charity on Mia's pinned comment.
I take the opportunity to comment that the "Fundación Santuario Igualdad" is a great opcion too! They are a refuge for farm animals rescued in Chile
I want to also submit To Write Love on Her Arms a support group for persons who self-harm
Since the comments are off, I would like to add another foundation to donate for. It is the "Art of Living, Care for Children Foundation" They are an organization that teaches mediation and breathing techniques to people around the world including people between wars and in prisons. They are trying to improve peoples mental health and within this organization they have the Care for Children Organization/ fundraiser where you can donate and send a child to school that isn't able to pay for it! This organization is located in many countries around the world including Canada!
It's been too long we haven't had a try on video! Love it!
Me just thinking of Mia being blinded by all the lights on her filming room the whole video lol 😂 ALSO LUV UR EARINGS MIA!!
Mia is so nice, she says “I give this one a seven” I’m saying, three or four tops. “I give this one a six” me, a two!!
Maybe a charity for animal shelters since they were hit quite a bit cause of the global panini.
i just got married today! what a coincidence!
congratulations 🎉
Omg congrats 🥳🥳
Congrats!!
Whoohooo! Congratulations!
Stay blessed♥️ and good luck.
Remember, it’s you and them against the problem, not eachother.
Congratulations 🍾🎉❤️
Charity: Twenty-Five and Four 💜 they make micro preemie and preemie clothes that are NICU friendly. Very dear to me as my little one was born at 27 and 5 💜
I think that donating to the indigenous communities, i think Orange Shirt Society is one of them
Great idea!
I like this idea too.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!
i love this!! i would donate if she started a gofundme for indigenous people. or if anyone knows of some credible ones lmk!!
yes this this this!!!
love the new camera!
Anyone going to talk about her earrings and her hair 😍
Ikr! Those rainbow earrings are sooo cute!
New camera: PERFECT
Mama Maples judging: ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
"It looks like craft time" is possibly the most offensive and aggressive thing I've ever heard your mum say 😂💕
Am I the only one who is commenting on how cute mia's rainbow earrings are??
I need to know where she got those from

“it’s so hot, it’s like 30 degrees” *confused american noises *
Totally
30 degrees Celsius
Serves you right with your weird fahrenheit and mile systems >:)
I asked Siri it’s like 86 which is pretty damn hot in my New York opinion
Yea normally it’s not that hot in Canada. I would say average it 20ish in the summer. 30 is super hot
if you want to, you should recreate Lily James’s outfits from Mamma Mia because i think you look like her!
Loved having your mom there to give feedback and for you to chat with! Such a lovely dynamic.
I would like to nominate the charity: Special Effect, the gamer's charity. They provide custom gaming setups for people living with disablity so they can play and connect like everyone else ❤ Thank you so much Mia ❤
VIDEO IDEA ALERT: you should try to make a wedding dress with those dresses you bought :)
Agree
She’s already made a video like this I think
I kind of think that'll cost her too much...? Rather than just donating them as it is...
@@hafsaarab8997 yeah pretty sure it was with the wish dresses
Can we talk about how every single dress looks so damn good on her ✨😩
eeek im excited to see ur dress try ons and dress planning! congrats on ur engagement:,)💜
And i was like 'you don't know how hot it is here'
It felt hot when it started to get above 18°C. 😅
The UK is so humid that people who live somewhere more arid just can’t understand how hot it can feel
HI MIA ILY!!!❤️❤️❤️ Your videos never fail to make my day better!
Just a couple notes, Mia:
Donating to charities is such a wonderful idea 🤝
The camera quality / wide angle lens is nice, but be careful when you come closer to the camera, because then the sound gets muffled.
Lol, pleaseeeee wear shoes when you try on the dresses! It completes the look ;)
And as a side note, when it comes to bridal gown shopping (if you can afford it for you wedding) please shop small business boutiques. You name it, she can do it!)
Or if you absolutely must buy a $60 FashonNova dress for your wedding, at least take it to a small business seamstress for alterations to make it look 😘👌
I think ordering a cheaper dress and having it altered by a small seamstress is an awesome idea!!
I love how mia has been more judgmental of the items, i want to know the honest truth and i love it
I love the wide angle with your new camera! & I love that mama maples was in this video too. I like your transitions a lot more when you walk in with the dress and talk about it vs showing it on camera then trying it :) it was a super nice transition!!
So awesome to see your giving back with your followers to their favorite charities ☺️ love you Mia !!
Alittle late to commenting a charity but a friend of mine has a Ranch that she rescues animals from being slaughtered! She is literally a life saver and puts so much of her heart into what she does. Her name on Instagram is @boochaces and her ranch is called Rancho Relaxo! She has her links to donate in her bio🥰
Wait omg!! She's your friend?! I've met her before when she adopted a dog from our shelter! I LOVE her and what she does!
Mia: it’s 30 degrees out.
Me: *laughs in Fahrenheit*
Did she mean degrees or Fahrenheit
Celsius not Fahrenheit
@@amyward3130 oh lmao I was abt to say uhhhh
It’s 86 degrees Fahrenheit
Mia: I don't recommend this one at all
Also Mia, about the same dress: 7/10
I love that you include your mom in the video. It seems you have a good relationship... and gives us a maternal opinion 💝
