These are fantastic! I am an elementary school teacher and made these as my entry in our Great Cookie Bake-off and won first place! Some say it isn't a "cookie" but it is a fantastic treat and a blue ribbon winner! Thanks for sharing this recipe. It is a new favorite!
My mom made these too. She used chunky PB and just drizzled chocolate instead of dunking, but pretty much the same deal. We gobbled them up! Now, I make them with dark chocolate and the sea salt is a must! I'll give it a go with the cereal. This was so fun to see.
These are one of our family traditions! I’ve never seen anyone use a recipe so close to my mom’s. Funny thing is we never used a mixer...we just used our hands! I’m sitting here watching this thinking duh, why didn’t we use a mixer? Funny how we cling to family recipes exactly as we were taught to do them. This year I’m using a mixer....maybe. ☺️
Hey Stacie! Do you happen to know if I can freeze these or better yet, how long they last in the fridge? I just made them, but I'm a little early for our Christmas party.
A family favourite here too!!! I put them in the freezer for a couple of days, until I have time to do the chocolate coating. Once you dip with your fork, or whatever, tap the handle on the size of the bowl a couple of times, while balancing the pb ball, and excess chocolate will drop off. Oh, and, the Christmas Rice Krispies are cute with these too. Hint: a Kitchen Aid counter mixer makes this super easy.
I always use kosher salt in my buckeyes. It just elevates that peanut butter to the next level. You mentioned buckeyes are "dense". I put honey in mine. Not enough to loose shape, but enough to make them smooth and creamy. So good. Gonna try these today, after I promised myself I was done making Christmas candy, 15 different candies later.
I LOVE this recipe! About 10 years ago, I learned about adding rice krispies, and I love the crispy crunch in there, with the smooth peanut butter. They are SO good! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
You are the sweetest, Thanks for sharing, I lost my mother in July 2022,I'm having one last Xmas at her home this year, So I'm going to try these, thanks❤️ hope to see anew one this year

I love all the things you make I’ve never heard of. My son would devour these. Did you decorate your home and not vlog it? I love watching you decorate! ❤️💚🎄❄️
Just found your channels.........love! Also lover those hanging coppers pots would love to do that in my home! If you haven't yet can you do a vi on how you and what you did to make pot rack. Tx Jo
I made these originally with graham cracker crumbs, but when my daughter needed gluten free, the rice cereal allowed her to eat one of our favorite Christmas treats. They are the best and soooo messy to make.😂
you could use parafin wax then melt your choclate into it - do it over a double boiler - that way you can remove from heat when melted -- and get them all dipped - makes them nice and shiny - plus hardens faster, btu stays soft...
My grandmother’s rule was to use one of her ‘hat-pins’ when dipping candy in chocolate. And yes.... it was a RULE. And actually, no specialized kitchen tool works better than a hat-pin. Honest.
@@jrt1776 She washed them and sterilized them with a candle flame. In case you weren’t kidding. Because I can’t have you sullying my Grandmother’s reputation.
did you know, that this is really called Chocolate Mouse - and it was created in Newfoundland Canada eons ago..lol-- you should try them with a wee bit of coconut instead fo vanilla.... mmmm...
the chocolate is not tempered right? if you put these in a glassine bag at room temp will the chocolate get tacky and matte finish and a mess?? I always thought that if you make like chocolate truffles you have to temper the chocolate so the chocolate is hard and shiny at room temp?
I lost my mom in May. First holiday without her and my greatest memory were making these with her. Thank you for making me smile. You are great!
I have been making these for35 years, only at Christmas, my family loves them.
I add Maple syrup to mine when making peanut butter balls it's a game changer 😋
@@Rollwithit699 You can use maple extract to use 1 teaspoon and follow the rest of the directions

PUT CRUSHED PRETZELS DIP IN CHOCOLATE
Santa Is Coming!!! 🎄
Where do you purchase your glass measuring cups from? They appear to be lighter to handle. Thanks
You are so cute! I could use some of your calm 😊
My family is allergic to coconut oil. Is there a replacement you suggest or is it ok to just leave it out?
Is the a sub for coconut oil?
Can you please make a orange cake
Hi!! My favorite candy is payday Do you happen to have a candy recipe. Close to them candy?
Thanks! Going to make those. By the way, sea salt has micro plastics. I never use that.
Is this a different kitchen or just the other end that we normally don’t see?
😋
I couldn’t find bittersweet chocolate. Can I used a 12 oz bag of choc chips?

👍🏾💯❤️💯❤️
I would put 4 or 5 in the bowl at a time instead of 1 at a time because I'm impatient
did the channel used to be called wyse guy? or am i having a berenstain bears moment.. 😀
Your recipe calls for one pound of chocolate . Did you use chocolate chips, bark, bars? Just wondering.🤪
Anything will work since it’s for dipping 😀
by the way... when you were doing the grey boxwood you had a partner..what happened to him?
HELLO gorgeous
I. Don’t. Have. Money. To. Buy. Anything
I make these but I melt the peanut butter with the butter
